Kyrgyzstan citizen living in South Korea.
Hello, I am Kyrgyz citizen currently residing and working in South Korea. I am employed as regional manager and as part of my role, I have been assigned to attend an exhibition in China scheduled for March.
I would like to inquire about the visa situation. Specifically:
1. Would it be possible for me to apply for tourist or business visa? Our company has a 법인 (corporate entity in China and is capable of providing all the necessary documents, including an official invitation letter.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the process. Thank you

I currently live in T/Daegu, South Korea with a valid US passport. I wish to visit Shanghai for 8 days in April 2025. How do I apply for a tourist visa without returning to the US?

You can apply for a China visa at the visa center if you are a long-term resident there and have a legal resident permit. Actually you can take advantage of the 144h visa free transit policy to get a 6 days' stay in Shanghai to avoid application by flying directly to Shanghai from South Korea and leave for the US or other countries or region except for South Korea. US Citizen traveling for business in S Korea - need China Visa
I am in Korea on business assignment so I'm traveling back and forth from Korea to US. I need to get a Chinese business visa for a trip in about 3 weeks. I don't have time to travel back home to apply for the visa. Can i apply in Seoul as a US Citizen? I don't have residency in Korea but our company does have an office in Korea. I gather that I have to visit a Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Seoul but they are requesting proof of residency or employment in Korea. Would a letter from our Korea office saying I am on assignment in Seoul suffice as proof?

Sorry, I'm afraid of the assignment cannot be a proof of residency. You need to apply for it in the USA.

Question about expired US Passport with valid China Visa. I have a new valid US PassPort.
I am a US citizen in Korea now and need to take a trip to Beijing, China November ~ 12th thru 14th, 2024.
I have a valid US Passport with expiration Date 06 April 2031.
I have a valid China Visa with expiration 05 April 2027, but the stamp label for the valid Visa was
added to my old passport before it expired 19 June 2021.
Can I bring both passports and get into China? I will only be in China 2 or 3 days.
