Suzhou Bus Search Tool

NOTICE:

1. The search tool has collected all of the bus in downtown Suzhou, including tourism bus routes. Apart from these, there are also regular city-bus lines to exurb area, towns and surrounding county-level cities , such as Wujiang, Taicang (passing Kunshan) and Changshu.

2. The tool could not be used to search for the long-distance buses, such as from downtown Suzhou to Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, etc. However, inter-city bus routes to Wuxi and Yangcheng Lake-Shanghai Bus are exceptions.

3. Most of the bus stops of Suzhou gained names from its nearby roads or well known buildings, such as Guan Qian Jie (Guangqian Street) and Zhuo Zheng Yuan (The Humble Administrator's Garden). Few hotels or restaurants are used to name a stop, such as China Garden Hotel and International Hotel. For most of the place, if you would like to search a bus route starting from your hotel, please get an idea of the closest stop around it firstly.

4. Even it is the same road or building, there will be several bus stops set. For example, around Guan Qian Jie, the busy downtown commercial area in Downtown Suzhou, there are several bus stops:  Chan Yuan Chang, Chan Yuan Chang (Guan Qian Jie West), Cuo Fang Qiao Guan Qian Jie East, etc. When you search for a bus, you could input the accurate stop, for example, Shi Lu (literarily  mean Stone Road), and then the related choices will been shown in the result: Shi Lu South, Shi Lu West, Shi Lu Lao Jie Fang, Guang Ji Qiao (Shi Lu). You can select one of them to see futher information.

5. Aiming to avoid the translation difference between Chinese and English, the supplied search tool gives a priority to Chinese Pinyin, especially when the stops were named by road or street.

Tiger Hill
What is the distance between the north gate entry to the south gate entry in Tiger Hill? (just a rough guide to estimate how long i would need to spend there).
Can I buy an entry ticket at the north gate and at the south gate?
Many thanks

No big difference. 3-4h is enough for the visit. You can buy a ticket at either of the two gates if not on public holidays.

I personally suggest this route: Lingering Garden - Shantang St. - Tiger Hill - Pingjiang Road.
From Lingering Garden, take metro line 2 to Shantang St., then take metro line 2 to Suzhou Railway station to transfer to line 6 to Tiger Hill. After visit at Tiger Hill, metro line 6 to The Humble Administrator's Garden Station, walk southward to Pingjiang Road.

Sorry I didn't found Tourist Line 2 stop near Suzhou Railway Station, only Tourist Line 1 and 5 at the North Square of the station.

Bus to Tiger Hill
I will be staying at Renaissance Suzhou Hotel Suzhou Avenue West. What is the most efficient way to travel to Tiger Hill using either metro or bus and from Tiger Hill to Lingering Garden.
Thanks in advance

From the hotel, walk northward to Central Park to take metro line 1 to Yangyuxiang, exit 3 out and transfer to Tourist Line 1 to Huqiu Road, then walk northward to the Tiger Hill scenic area.
