What to Wear in Guilin in May

All sorts of summer clothes, such as shorts, slacks, skirts and short sleeve shirts are suitable for a trip with the summer climate of May in Guilin. You should prepare for rain. An umbrella is better, for it can prevent both the rain and the sunlight. You may also take sun glasses and a sun hat with you to have an easier trip during a sunny day. Bring sunscreen with low SPF as well. Mosquito-repellent should also be brought if you plan to walk for a distance along the Li River, on the Longji Rice Terraces, or some other tourist attractions with water, grassland, and trees.

How i can find a guide who's speaking arabic to help us with translating, and i want to know about the halal restaurants ?

I'm not clear about the Arabic tour guide and maybe you can find a local travel agency. As for the halal restaurants, there is a Lanzhou Noodles located at south Zhongshan Road, Xiangshan District.

We are visiting Guilin from 20th May and leaving on 23 May 2017 afthernoon.

Please advise us the dos and donts. The favourite food n r there any Restaurants selling western dishes.Thank you

Dos and Donts:
1. The local dishes mainly tend to be sour and spicy, and if you have special requirements, you may tell the cook in advance.
2. You’d better reserve the hotel ahead of your schedule.
3. Because of its climate, the accommodation will be a little humid. You may be prepared for that.
4. You can buy a map for your trip.
5. Please take enough cash with you, in case that your credit cards are not available in the local banks.
6. You may pay attention to the weather prediction, so that you can prepare an umbrella when it will rain.
7. Try not to eat the dishes along the street, because your stomach may not adapt with these foods.
8. Don’t get out alone at late night. If you do need to go out at that time, you may ask a company and remember the location of your hotel.
9. Don’t believe the passerby easily when they recommend you with some goods or tours.
10. Generally, please don’t leave your valuables at the hotel.
Rice noodles, fried field snails and beer fish are the popular dishes there. Besides, there are lots of western restaurants in the city, such as Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonald and various steakhouses. You can find them easily in the city center.

will it be hard to buy train tickets at the station in guilin to guangzhou during may if i buy them 2-3 days in advance?

It is not easy since there are only two trains to reach GZ city. If you have a detail arrangement already, it is suggested to book a week before or more early.
