Long-sleeved shirt or T-shirt plus a light jacket or a knitted sweater is generally enough in early October. However, by the end of the month you may need to wear a thick jacket, and even an additional thick woolen sweater.

Beijing climate in October is very dry, so do drink enough water, and eat more fresh fruits. Bring some moisturizing lotion or spray, and a lip balm as well. Try to avoid visiting Beijing during the China National Day holiday from October 1 to 7. The city will be extremely crowded during this period, especially the tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants and on the buses, trains and flights.

According to the weather forecast, it will be 5C to 15C in the following days. You are suggested to prepare overcoats, jackets, long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, jeans and boots.

The history weather statistics records that the temperature will be around 10-20C. You can bring some shirts and thin jackets in case the large temperature difference.

Air pollution in Beijing on October

We will visit BJ from Oct 20th to 27th, and we are concerned about the air pollution in the city, because two of us suffer asthma. How can we protect ourselves to avoid an asthma attack?

Hi, you can prepare anti-haze masks. Generally, the air condition in Beijing is not so bad in October.
