How to Get to Terracotta Warriors from Xi'an

The Terracotta Warriors is located in Lintong District, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) to the northeast of Xi'an downtown. Currently, travelers can take metro line 9 to Huaqing Pool Station from Fangzhicheng and then transfer to Lintong Bus 602 or Lintong Tourist Bus Line 613 to Terracotta Army; or take Tourist Bus No. 5 (306) from Fangzhicheng to get there directly.

How to Get to Terracotta Warriors from Xi'an Downtown

Plan A: Metro Line 1 + Line 9 + Lintong Bus 602 / Tourist Bus 613

→ Take metro line 1 to Fangzhicheng Station
→ Change to line 9 and arrive at Huaqing Pool Station
→ Transfer to Lintong Bus 602 or Lintong Tourist Bus 613 to the Terracotta Army.

How to Get to Fangzhicheng Bus Station:

Metro: Take metro line 1 to the terminal Fangzhicheng Station and walk northward. Or take metro line 6 or 9 to Fangzhicheng, take Exit E and work northward.
Bus: Take city bus 171, 213, 231, 232, 233, 241, 246, 269, 270, 307, 401, 416, 904, or 926, get off at Fangzhicheng Station and walk northward.

Taxi from Downtown Xi'an to Terracotta Army – CNY160-220

The taxi operates from downtown Xi’an to the museum in 40 to 50 minutes and a single trip costs CNY160-220.

Plan A: Metro Line 4 + Line 1 + Line 9 + Lintong Bus 602 / Lintong Tourist Bus 613

→ Take metro line 4 to Wulukou
→ Transfer to line 1 to Fangzhicheng
→ Take line 9 to Huaqing Pool, get out from Exit C
→ Walk eastward to take Lintong Bus 602 or Lintong Tourist Bus Line 613 to the attraction

→ From South Square of the railway station, walk across North Huancheng Rd.

→ Walk westward for about 100 meters (109 yards) and then turn left, walk for another 100 meters to take Tourism Line 613
→ Get off at Terracotta Army
Ticket: CNY33.5
Duration: 2 hours

Plan B: Metro Line 14 + Line 2 + Line 1 + Line 9 + Lintong Bus 602 / Lintong Tourist Bus 613

Advise on terracotta

Should I stay in hotel near bell tower and do a 1 day trip to TERRACOTTA WARRIOR or stay at Ling tong for 1 night or 2? How to travel from Bell tower/ city wall to Terracotta and hua qing?

It's more advised to stay in Bell Tower for better hotel service. From Bell Tower, you can take a direct bus at Bell Tower metro station to the terracotta army or take metro line 6 to Fangzhicheng, transfer to line 9 to Huaqing Pool where you can go to Huaqing Palace on foot or take bus no. Lintong 613 there to the terracotta army.

DIRECT TOURIST BUS FROM TERRACOTTA WARRIOR :RETURN TRIP

Hello, May I HAVE the INFORMATION about the direct tourist bus from the Terracotta warriors back to Xi'an north railway station or Bell tower area ? I plan to reach Xi'an north railway station at noon. and explore the Terracotta in the afternoon. I wonder where I should stay - Bell tower area or Xi'an north railway area. I travel with the luggages. Which is the most comfortable way to go?

There are buses at the exit of Terracotta Army scenic area running to Xi'an North Railway Station and Bell Tower. It's advised more to stay near Bell Tower for convenient transportation to attractions in downtown area. You can also take a taxi to Huaqing Pool metro station, then connect to metro trains back to Xi'an downtown, Bell Tower is on the metro line 2.

As for the luggage, you can travel with it from Xi'an north to the scenic site, store it at the tourist center and after visiting, claim it.

Where should i go on North Railway Station to get a ticket for free Tourist Bus to Teracotte Army? Can I get this and use it day after i arrive to Xi'an?

Free tourist bus? As I know there are direct buses to Teracotta Army at a cost of CNY30 and with an interval of 15min. The departure point is on the parking lot of north square. You can buy the ticket on the spot upon arrival and then get on.

Xi'an (Central) Railway Station

Hi - is there a bus from Xi'an Central Railway Station? (by the old city walls location) (not the North Station) If so whereabout is the actual station? Thank you

However, the tourist bus no.5 (306) to Terracotta Army has been moved to Fangzhicheng yeas ago. It did not depart from Xi'an Railway Station any more.
