In Ulaanbaatar transportation, there are two types of taxi services. One is the cab with designated taxi symbols, and the other is a non-marked private car. Taxis are cheap, which are charging around MNT800 (USD0.2) per kilometer and charge around MNT1,000 at midnight. Foreigners may be overcharged. Visitors can negotiate the rates before hiring any cab or taxi. One can find various taxi companies which have official licenses such as Noyon taxi, Telecom taxi, Ulaanbaatar taxi, and 1616 taxi.

By Bus:
The bus is also a convenient and affordable way of Ulaanbaatar transportation. Travelers can find regular buses which have a fixed charge of T500 (USD0.17) per ride. There is also an option of electric trolley-buses, which cost T300 (USD0.1), but they are slower and run only on fewer routes. After midnight, in Ulaanbaatar, visitors only can get trolley-buses with a rate of T1,000 (USD 0.35) per ride for only two main ways. Smaller buses or micro-buses are also available for rides that are accessible at T500 (USD 0.17). These buses have someone who shouts the name of the destination in rapid Mongolian at every stop, which can be hard to understand. In Ulaanbaatar, many of the attractions are located closer to Peace Avenue, the main horizontal avenue.
