The tour was terrific. Kevin was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful as he showed us the Beijing sites. Although the weather was quite cold, we kept moving and managed four interesting locations. Kevin’s English was good and we could understand everything. I would recommend a tour with Kevin.

My tour guide was Carol and she was the best! Such a sweet and friendly personality, and she always made sure we saw and understood everything! I was happy that we were able to meet the farmer who discovered the warriors, I got his autograph :) I cannot recommend this tour enough, and if I ever return to Xi'an, I will make sure to contact Carol again!

We went on a private 15 day tour, flying into Hong Kong, then taking high speed rail to Guangzhou, then flying into Kunming, then high speed rail into Lijiang, then driving over the mountains and the Yangtze River to Shangri-La, then flying to Lhasa, then driving to Tsetang and driving back to Lhasa. We flew home from Lhasa, via Beijing.

This is our second tour with Travel China Guide and just like our first time, this was an excellent experience again. Traveling to this many cities in 15 days had some complexity, but Amy, our travel consultant , did a great job of communicating with us via email, booking hotels, transportation, and coordinating with the different guides in the different cities.

China is a beautiful country and these cities were great. Hong Kong is an exciting, vibrant city and we very much enjoyed seeing the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island, and the Chin Lin nunnery with its beautiful architecture and gardens, among other sites.

Guangzhou was great. We got to see Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall, the Temple of Six Banyan Trees, and the magnificent Museum of the Mausoleum of the Nanyue King. This was not part of a scheduled tour, but we were fortunate enough to see it on our free time.

In Kunming we were able to see the beautiful Green Lake Park and the Stone Forest. The limestone formations, trees and lakes reminded me of a series of bonsai scenes but in real size.

Lijiang was a hidden gem. We enjoyed the cultural aspect of visiting a Naxi family, seeing a Baisha village and Buddhist Murals very much. One of my favorite parts of the trip was to visit Lijiang Old Town, with its waterways and old stone streets to explore.

The town of Shangri-La was fascinating to visit. We were able to see temple at the Guishan Park of Dukezong Ancient Town. We also saw the Great Prayer Wheel next to the temple where pilgrims can pull the rope to turn the wheel. The wheel is 21 meters in height and 60 tonnes in weight. People in the town meet in the public square of Ancient Town at 7:00 PM, when music comes on the loudspeakers and people of all ages dance to the music.

In Tsetang we saw the beautiful Yumbu Lakang temple and learned about it's history. We also went to Trandruk Monastery and the Samye Monastery.

Then we went to Lhasa where we saw the crowning glory of Tibetan Buddhism, the Potala Palace. Our guide shared with us the history of the place, and it's importance to the Tibetan people. It's a beautiful place that I'm happy to have seen in person.

Travel China Guide organized all of our hotels, transportation and tours and did it very well. Our hotels were all 5-stars. There were a couple of places where we had issues with the hotels but Amy and the team at Travel China Guide quickly resolved those.

We look forward to our next trip to China and working with Travel China Guide again to plan it.

Guides were experienced, helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable on all places we visited. Took time and patience in answering and explaining on our questions. Very punctual on our meet ups daily and plan well ahead giving enough buffer in case of traffic jams. Smooth and joyful trip for us all, thank you so much for the trip planning!!!

Ryen did an amazing job as our guide. He was able to Tell us a lot of interesting information about all the buildings and had also a lot of interesting facts about china. The Tour was very well planed and He gave us a lot of free time to Explore. We were able to take a lot of pictures and had an easy ride through the City. I would recomend this guide to everybody. The driver was also very reliable and we never had to wait more than five Minutes. We learned a lot about the Chinese history and a lot about the City of Shanghai.

Spent a great tour today in the snow to the Terracotta warriors! Saw the goose pagoda, western wall, and even the Muslim quarter! Lily was an amazing and knowledgeable guide and I learned so much today about the history of this beautiful city! Wen was an excellent driver in the poor weather as well! Lily our tourguide was fantastic - she was knowledgeable, patient and her English is excellent. She took good care of us during this tour and it was our favourite tour that we had in China. When we went it was snowing and she tailored our trip to the conditions to make sure we got back safely and also made sure we saw a special exhibition. I would definitely recommend you go with Lily!

Being worried about the conditions of Gulin and Yangshuo in winter, we were more than pleasantly surprised. Even in January, the views are stunning, the landscape breathtaking and we were able to avoid the masses of tourists that come here during the season. Thanks to our Guide Tom Wu every need of ours was met and we've got to know a lot about the region. We will be happy to visit again!

We went with Lucy tour guide to temple of heaven, hutongs of Beijing a nice visit of old houses with arquitecture very Chinese old style in a kind of bycicle very interesting and funny, after that we had a look of the bell and drum tower and then we finished in summer palace, all her explanations were excellent, very kind, clear and she from the beginning was taking care of each one’s interest until the end she helped one by one to arrange some plans after the tour finish, for example us helped to book a very famous Pekin duck totally worth it! to others helped if you want to go to a Chinese opera, Chinese performances, shopping of souvenirs, etc .. I really appreciate her hard work with all of us because each one had a different requirement but she always was with excellent mood to reply to us so I am very thankful with her, also she tell you when are the perfect places for good photos so suitable for us that want nice pictures in our memory. she is very active and lovely, thank you Lucy! If any friends come to China I would recommend to go with you I loved the tour guided by you!

We had an English speaking private tour booked with Ms Candy to the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Five stars is not enough recognition for Ms Candyy who was as good as any tour guide I have experienced anywhere in the World. Clear communications, brilliant knowledge and language skills and everything was smooth and well organised. She clearly was very attentive and willing to tailor the tour to whatever you wanted. I could not recommend Ms Candy highly enough. We had an unforgettable day.

Candy was a wonderfull Guide. She has a lot of knoledge und answered every question of ours. She was very nice and gave us all the time we needed to take pictures. I would recommend her to everybody i know. If we ever decide to take a guide again, i would love to have Candy. The driver was also very reliable and we never had to wait a long time.

We had a fantastic day on this tour around Xian and the terracotta warriors. Our tour guide Lily was really kind, knowledgeable and informative. She was able to teach us all about the history of the city and the sites we were seeing and were able to answer all our questions. The private driver made the tour very easy and convenient to get to all site.

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and the best way to visit China especially for first-timers. Visiting the Great Wall, Terra Cotta Army, and many temples were such breathtaking sights and made even better with kind and knowledgeable tour guides (Kevin, Tracy, and Helen). I enjoyed meeting the others in my tour group as it made it more fun to visit all these historical sites and share meals together. The only thing I would do differently is spend more of my free time exploring further because there is simply too much to see (and eat) in such little time. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who hasn't visited before!

We did a 1 day tour to forbidden city, Tian’anmen square and the Great Wall of China. Kevin was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. He was very attentive to the group, explained the history of various buildings and monuments and is a great photographer. Thank you Kevin! If we had more time we would’ve done the 2 day tour.

My family visited Beijing and engaged the services of Lucy as our tour guide. She was wonderful, patient and catered to all our needs as we travelled with young children and elderly parents. My daughter loved her caring and engaging nature!

I loved my eight day El Salvador Adventure. We were 2 women and felt very safe. My tour guide Miguel was professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotels were each very different … former coffee plantation, luxury hotel, and beach getaway. The included breakfasts were all. delicious. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants an overview of this beautiful and diverse country.

My family and I had an amazing tour today. I especially chose an English speaking tour. Our tour guide, Candy, was so informative and I learned a lot of China’s history. She also helped us to take many family pics. I’m glad I took my children to this tour. My mother, who has visited many times even said that Candy was much more informative than the other tour guides that she had before and she also enjoyed it very much! We went to The Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square and The Great Wall- MuTianYu. You can even go up by cable car or chairlift and come down by sliding down the toboggan which was so much fun!!

This tour was excellent; the scenery was spectacular. Zhangjiajie was one of 8 cities that we visited in China. We had a great time on the tour - Celine was an amazing tour guide and so knowledgeable on the different areas of the city and it's history. A highlight for us was seeing the terracotta army and having traditional biang biang noodles for lunch!

We had a fantastic tour with Miss Candy. Morning at the Forbidden City, afternoon at the Temple of Heaven.

You can buy an audio tour, but this experience beats that hands down. Candy gave us lots of information and we were able to ask lots of questions about history and modern day living in China.

The pace was perfect and Candy took us to a local restaurant for lunch which made the day so much easier. The whole day was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish.

Absolutely recommended.

This tour is a must for everyone visiting Xi’an for the first time. Our guide Lily made the tour unforgettable. Tracy was such an incredible tour guide! She knew so much about the history of everything we saw and answered everyone’s questions.
She gave us lots of time to explore and responded to the needs of the group. Tracy had brilliant advice about lots of things (including where to eat and the best place to buy souvenirs!)
We had a small group of only five people which was lovely and had a very personalised feel.
The transport was modern and the hotel pick up service was very helpful.
Tracy’s communication was exemplary before, during and after the tour.
The Terracotta Warriors, Great Goose Pagoda, and Xi’an City Wall are all must-see spots if your are visiting Xi’an, and the experience was so much better for having a knowledgeable tour guide.

This was part of our 12-day private tour by Travel China Guide. Our local guide Ryan and driver shuttled us roundtrip from our hotel in Shanghai. We had a wonderful time visiting Suzhou and experiencing the Tongli water town. Ryan was very informative on history, culture, and architectural details. It was a great learning experience. Along the way we enjoyed some nice local old-time snacks as well.
