39 innocent civilians were killed and 94 more were injured in the deadly bomb in Urumqi, Xinjiang on May 22. We severely condemn the terrorists and show deep condolence and sympathy to the victims and their families. Although stepped up security measures have been taken after the incident, it is still risky to travel to the region
If you are in Xinjiang now, you should avoid going to crowded places or going out alone. Stay with your guides and do not hesitate to call the police if you encounter any accident.

On Thursday morning, May 22nd, two SUVs slammed into people and threw explosives to the crowds in an open-air market in Urumqi, Xijiang. 39 people were dead and 91 were wounded in the incident. Most of the victims are housewives and seniors who get up early to buy vegetables for their families. Four attackers were killed in the blast, and the fifth one was arrested later.

On March 1, 2014, eight Uygur separatists rushed into crowds and attacked people with knives at Kunming Railway Station, Yunnan. 29 people were killed and 143 were wounded in the horrible incident.
