The reservation can be made on the official website of the town, but only Chinese version is available currently. Visitors can reserve tickets to the wall 1 – 10 days in advance with their real name, Chinese ID or foreign passport number, and a Chinese mobile phone number. After you make the payment online successfully, you will receive a text message containing an e-ticket in the form of QR code. There will also be the validity of e-ticket in the text message. Visitors enter the attraction by showing the QR code ticket and take the free shuttle to the foot of the great Wall. Only two groups of visitors are allowed to enter the wall each day, at 10:00 and 14:00, respectively, so you should decide at what time you are going there when you make the online reservation.
