Nanxun Water Town
Situated in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, Nanxun Water Town is a famous historic and cultural town. The Shihe River runs through the town from north to south while the Grand Canal crosses it from east to west. Dwellings and streets were built on both sides of the waterways. Many stone arch bridges span over the waterways. It is worthy of visiting the following scenic spots in this town if you have a chance: Zhang Family Compound, Little Lotus Villa and Jiaye Library (Jiaye Books Collecting Hall).

I am visiting Guangzhou and Hangzhou next month. I saw an image of canals with very old shops
Saw an image of little canals and very old shops along the canal. I can't find the image again. Dopes anyone know the name of the town so I as an architect can visit it. Thanks!

I know that the Nanxun Water Town and Wuzhen Water Town is near Hangzhou but I'm not sure if they are the one you are looking for.
