The splendid Jokhang Temple with a golden roof,  is located in the center of Lhasa City and has been the spirit center of Buddhist pilgrims for a long time. It was constructed in the middle of the 7th century by the great Tibet King-Songsten Gampo. Originally, it was used to house the rare statue of eight-year-old Jowo Sakyamuni, but then it was used to house the gilded statue of twelve-year-old Sakyamuni until now. You can not get the permit in Malaysia. You should entrust a travel agent to handle the permit for you and you can not jion any tour, just need their help to apply for the permit. Or you can handle it by yourself when you are in China. Better and easier to find an agent.
