Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (37)

The panda is the Chinese people's beloved animal. It is a treasure of China, but now it is endangered. For their better protection, a Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding was set up in northern suburbs of Chengdu.

Built in 256 BC, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System is the world's oldest among its kind and uniquely relied upon a levee rather than a dam to facilitate navigation. It was built across the Min River to solve the frequent flooding problems in the Chengdu Plain.

what is best way to travel to Jiuzhaigou from Chengdu City?

Peter, there are two ways. You can fly from Chengdu to there. It takes 40 to 60 minutes. After you landing at the airport, you need to take shuttle bus or rent a taxi to reach the valley. Another option is to take long distance bus from Xinanmen (New South Gate) Bus Station or Chadianzi Bus Station. The ticket prices vary from CNY 145 to 170. It takes around 9 hours.

it will take u about 30 hours and the ticket is 245 RMB, if you by air just ahout 2 hours the ticket is about 600 RMB!

Which airline is it that runs flights for 600 RMB?
The cheapest I have found is over $350 roundtrip.
