Cole flowers were yellowing the fields.
Menyuan Hui Autonomous County is located in the northeast of Qinghai Lake, about 150 kilometers from the provincial capital - Xining. Members of more than five minorities live in this area, such as Hui, Tibetan, Tu, Mongolia and Sara. Menyuan is the production base of cole in the northern China and production base of oil plants in Qinghai Province. In June every year, the cole will be in full bloom, presenting an ocean of yellow flowers.

Yes. As I know, the local famous Rape Flowers Festival is held from mid of July and lasts to mid of August. Well, the best time to view the flowers is between July 15 and July 25.

Because it is in depth of inland China, warm air can hardly reach there. It is situated in plateau with high altitude. So, it is cold.
