Pictures of Old Grand Canal

The history of this old Canal can be traced back to the Shang Dynasty (1600BC-1046BC).  Historically it was very important on transportation, the economy and agriculture.  Along the river, there are about 28 historical and cultural spots.  Among them the most attractive one is Qingming Bridge. It is at the meeting of the old Grand Canal and Bodu Lane. This area is the best preserved place in the old original style of the Yangtze River delta.
