That area enters the rainy season since middle and later June. The temperature may be 33-35 degrees at daytime. So, it is hot. There are many private gardens in Suzhou. There are several water towns nearby, such as Nanxun, Tongli, Wuzhen, Zhouzhuang. You can go to visit one of those water towns.

No, you cannot. You need to take the bullet trains from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. There are many trains a day, the last one is leaving 21:28. You can jsut take airport bus to the railway station and buy tickets for the train.

I heard it was possible to take a nice boat ride in Suzhou, for about 45 minutes to an hour. Do you know if this is possible, where to find the boat, what times it runs, and how much? We will be visiting on Saturday, August 8. Thank you for your kind assistance.
