Thanks in advance.

It is suggested that you purchase silk from these time-honored shops. Although the price is a little higher, the quality is assured. Well, please go to Guanqian Street, an local old street, where you could find these famous shops one by one. As I know, Qian Tai Xiang (乾泰祥)has a long history of produce quality silk.

best option would be by train - tip: buy ticket start with T rather than D, could be 1/3 cheaper. You can spend 2days in suzhou (or around) and 2days days in Nanjing

Well, the GreenTree Inn has 6 branches in the city currently. I think the one close to the Railway Station may have the best location. Very convenient transportation here could drive you to local attractions.
