Yellow Crane Tower Pictures
Yellow Crane Tower is a very famous tower in China. Li Bai, the God of poetry of the Tang Dynasty, wrote a poet "Seeing Meng Haoran Off at Yellow Crane Tower" make it wellknown.
Listed among the three famous towers in South China, the Yellow Crane Tower was first built during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280) for military purpose, which regularly became a noted place of interest late until the Tang Dynasty (618-907). I am arriving in Wuhan approx 11pm at night. I will be traveling into the Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan - 700 JianShe Avenue Wuhan. Is it better to take a train or Taxi and how popular is english with the taxi drivers

No train. You can take airport bus station to Haikou Jinjiadun Bus Station, or anywhere near Hankou Railway Station. Then take a taxi to the hotel.
Total fare: about 30RMB
You can take a taxi from the airport to Shangri-La, 25 km or so.
Fare: about 100RMB, 25 minutes

As I know, there is no direct flight from USA to Wuhan currently. You could transfer at Shanghai or HK. It is suggested that you search the info at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/

I am going to Wuhan for 3 weeks end June to midJuly 2010 for business. Have some time to travel before or after. Where else should I go? Beijing? Shanghai? Other recommendations. Thanks.

If u have enough time, go to Xi'an as well, a city with long history, and lots of foreigner visit here. The Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses is amazing!
