Pictures of Shanhaiguan Pass
Located in the northeast of Qinhuangdao, Shanhaiguan Town was built in 1381 in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It neighbors on the Bohai Sea on the southeast and the Yanshan Mountain on the northwest. Shanhaiguan Pass, having a strategic position and known as the First Pass of China,is the entrance to the town, which is a very important gateway of the Ming Great Wall. Not very advanced technology except some simple machineries were used such as rolling logs, crowbars and winding gears. FYI: Principle of Great Wall construction(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china_great_wall/construction/principle.htm) .
