I personnally recommend you Huanghuacheng, for it is easier to access and has unique scenes of the Wall adjoining the lake.
From the Lama station, you can take subway line 2 for one stop to Dongzhimen. Get out from Exit B2 or B1 to find the Dongzhimen Transport Hub to take special sightseeing bus to Huanghuacheng. It should take about 2h on the way. And it should be noted that the bus only leaves around 08:00-09:00 on holidays and weekends.
