Are there any "bars" on wangfujing street where I can just sit and watch with a beer?

Doug, some hotels, Hilton Hotel, for instance, has the bar inside. But I am afraid that it's not what you are looking for. If you really want to experience the bars, you should go to Sanlitun or Houhai Area. These two places are not far from Wangfujing. It takes around 10 minutes by taxi from Wangfujing to Houhai, and 15 to 25 minutes to Sanlitun.
