Palace of Tranquil Longevity Pictures

The Palace of Tranquil Longevity (Ningshougong) was built per the request of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795), who planned to move here after resignation from the throne. It shows the best imperial architecture of that time period. Among the various, the Nine Dragon Screen is a highlight. Composed of 270 glazed tiles, the screen shows nine vivid dragons, which are the symbol of the emperor in Chinese culture.
