Located in the southwest of Xinjiang Uigur Autonomous Region, Kashgar City leans against the Pamir on the west. It adjoins Takla Makan Desert on the east and the Karakoram Range as well as Tibet Nagri on the south. The southwest of Kashgar borders on four countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kirghizstan and Tajikistan.
These two tourist maps of Kashgar show the locations both in Chinese and in English. As a famous tourist destination, the city boasts many sights worth seeing. Here you can see the Idkah Mosque, the Silk Road Museum, Abakh Hoja Tomb, and Pan Tuo City and the like.
In the eastern suburb of the city, the Western-Central Asia Market can be found. It is the largest market with 21 special markets, more than 5,000 shopping stalls and a food street in it. Some hotels can be found in the second Kashgar map, including Seman Hotel, Qian Hai Hotel, Tiannan Hotel and Kashgar Hotel. Also you can see the Kashgar Long-Distance Bus Terminus on the Tiannan Road and the Office of CAAC on the South Jiefang Road.
