Day 1 Airport Pick-up in Nairobi, Drive to Amboseli National Park
Game Drive in Kenya
Welcome to Nairobi! You will be warmly welcomed by our local representative at Nairobi International Airport after landing. The guide will pick you up and go directly to the first stop, Amboseli National Park, which takes about 4-5 hours on the way. On arrival, you will check into the lodge and take a break. If time allows, we will enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

Tour Tips:
1. SIM Card: We suggest you buy a SIM card from Safaricom as it provides the best network which is ok for light use in national parks and reserves, while other operators’ cards may have no signals. It may cost you USD 7 for 7 GB of data, valid for 30 days. You can purchase one at its store at the exit of the airport, which opens from 8:00 to 21:00.
2. No Drones: Please avoid using drones since it is prohibited at national parks and reserves, or you may be fined. If you want to take high-resolution pictures of animals, a telephoto lens is enough.
3. Safety Tips: It is better not to hail loudly or wave your arms to animals while on safari as they may be irritated or scared off. In addition, please avoid leaning out of the window or groveling on the car when taking photos because it is dangerous.

Accommodation: Amboseli Serena Lodge (4 stars)
Day 2 Full Day Sightseeing in Amboseli National Park
Today, we will spend the entire day in Amboseli National Park, located at the border area between Kenya and Tanzania. Known as a paradise for elephants, it offers you numerous chances to encounter herds of elephants roaming on the vast grassland with egrets behind. In addition, you will spot many other wildlife, such as hippos, giraffes, cheetahs, and various birds. Besides admiring wildlife, our guide will escort you to the Observation Hill. Here, you can not only overlook the entire Amboseli National Park but also appreciate the snow-peaked Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. After a day of sightseeing, you will be escorted back to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

★ Our Strengths:
1. 4×4 Land Cruiser with Pop-up Roof: Its openable windows can offer you the best view for admiring animals. You can also stand on the seats and have a 360-degree view of the savanna from the pop-up hatch. Compared to minivans, its upgraded wheels are perfect for the off-road safari and can escort you through complex terrains.
2. Accommodations: The lodges and camps we booked for you are in reserves and parks and have natural ponds nearby. You can easily spot animals such as antelopes, zebras, and elephants coming for water. Sometimes, you may even see lions roaming around the ponds.

Day 3 Drive to Lake Nakuru, Take a Bird-watching Drive
After breakfast, we will drive for around 6 hours to Lake Nakuru, a natural freshwater lake with stunning views.

Upon arrival in the afternoon, you will have a game drive to explore this bird-watching paradise, which was once one of the best places to admire flamingos. The alkaline water brought algal blooms to the lake, providing rich food for these pink birds. However, due to the deterioration of the environment, it is not suitable for flamingos to live anymore, so most of them migrated to Lake Bogoria. Although pink flamingos are much fewer than before, lesser white ones are still common. In addition, you can encounter other bird species, such as ostriches, cuckoos, plovers, and lapwings. Besides birds, Lake Nakuru is also home to endangered white and black rhinos and Rothchild's giraffes. If time permits, our guide will escort you to Baboon Cliff, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surroundings.

Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge - one of the best lodges in the park
Day 4 Leave for Lake Naivasha, Hike in Hell’s Gate National Park
After breakfast, we will drive 2 hours to the Lake Naivasha National Park, one of Kenya's most beautiful freshwater lakes surrounded by swamps with lush papyrus.

★ Special Arrangement: Boat Tour to Get up Close to Hippos and Birds
In the center of the Lake Naivasha lies the Crescent Island, built by the production team of Out of Africa. They moved many herbivores, including zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes, to the island for the convenience of filming. When cruising over the lake, you can see them roaming and grazing near the shore. In addition, there are high populations of hippos in the lake. Keep your eyes open! They always lurk under the water and furtively poke their heads after the boat glides across. Want to see something more interesting? The freshwater resources attract more than 400 species of birds. So, it is easy to see the exciting scenes of fish birds dashing into the water to catch fish. Our guide will throw the fish into the sky to attract birds so that you can capture pictures of them close up.

Then, let’s head to the lodge and enjoy today’s lunch. In the afternoon, we will go to the Hell's Gate National Park nearby. It was said that the volcanic eruptions here brought massive disasters to Masai tribes 1,000 years ago. That is why it is given this horrible name. But actually, it is the safest national park in Kenya, as there are no predators, and it is one of the few parks you could visit out of the car. You can go hiking in the park to find various herbivores, such as zebras and antelopes. If you are interested, cycling is also a good way to explore this mysterious place. You can rent a bicycle on your own, costing USD 20 per person. Finally, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 5 Drive to Masai Mara. Enjoy an Afternoon Game Drive
Today, we will drive around 4.5 hours to Kenya's most famous Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for the African Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants, and Cape buffalo. After checking into the camp, enjoy lunch and take a break. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive in the reserve to feel the charm of the wild.

★ Spot the Biggest Mammal Migration - Spectacular Wildebeests Crossing the Mara!
From May to June, herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes migrate from Serengeti following the rains and cross the Mara River from July to September. As millions of herbivores enter Masai Mara, they will face not only big cats like lions and leopards but also more than 3,000 crocodiles lurking in the river. When these lemming-like migrators blindly jump into the water, it’s hunting time for these ‘killers.’ After the thrilling escape, the surviving wildebeests will be rewarded with richer and greener pastures.
► Note: It needs some luck to witness the spectacular scenes of the wildebeests crossing the river since there is no way to know the exact time of the herds to act. But it is easy to encounter large armies of these herbivores. If there is a message about the crossing, our guide will try his best to drive you to the spot at once, which will increase the opportunity to see the majestic scenes.

Day 6 Full-day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Park
This full day will be devoted to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most famous wildlife sanctuary. Escorted by our driver guide, you can look for the tracks of the African Big Five. If lucky, you can spot the exhilarating scenes of lions or leopards hunting. Besides, other wildlife, such as gazelles, zebras, and giraffes, are worth admiring. If you want, our guide will drive you to the Masai tribe for a short visit. Roaming around, you will meet villagers in Shúkà, the traditional clothes of Masai people tailored from a red cloth. Sometimes, you can see a flock of young men performing traditional dancing while females sing to a beat in response, which is a rite for males to attract a mate. You may encounter locals selling their traditional handicrafts when visiting. Just refuse it if you are not interested. If you want to buy some souvenirs, remember to bargain, as they may overcharge.
