What to See in Kazakhstan for First Timers?

For first-time travelers, 7-8 days are recommended to explore Kazakhstan’s natural wonders in the Almaty region. You could tour downtown first by visiting the Central Mosque and Green Bazaar. Then, spend 2 days in the Altyn Emel National Park to appreciate the desert and Mars-like scenery. Afterward, go to Charyn Canyon National Park to admire the spectacular cliffs. If time permits, you could also add Kaindy Lake and Kolsai Lakes to your Kazakhstan holiday packages.

When is the Best Time to Have Kazakhstan Tours?

Kazakhstan has a temperate continental climate, with hot summers and freezing winters. The average temperature in January ranges from -19°C (-2℉) to -4°C (24℉), and in July, it ranges from 19°C (66℉) to 26°C (78℉). Therefore, for the sake of weather, the peak seasons to visit Kazakhstan are spring, from April to May, with lush forests and meadows, and autumn from September to October, decorated by colorful leaves like a fairyland.

Still, if you want to ski in the Medeu Ice Arena, you can come in winter; even coming in summer, you can enjoy the coolness of hiking into Heaven Mountains. No matter when you take a Kazakhstan trip, this country will impress you.

How to Get to and Travel Around Kazakhstan?

Kazakhstan has five international airports, the two main ones being Almaty International Airport and Astana International Airport. For Kazakhstan trips, the first choice is to take a direct flight to Almaty International Airport. You can easily find many flights from Moscow, Paris, Delhi, and New York to Kazakhstan.

Flight is also an ideal choice when traveling within Kazakhstan, given the country’s vast territory and its developed air transportation, which boasts 25 airports. But if you want to see more endearing natural landscapes rarely touched, train trips are better. Also, since many scenic spots can be only reached by car, you can rent a car or book our guided tours with a private car beforehand. Our customized tour packages are ready to serve you at any time.
