Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi
Airport pick-up & airport-hotel transfer.
Welcome to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Our driver will pick you up at the airport and then send you to the hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is free for you.

► Travel Tips:
When your flight lands at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport (HAN), the following information will be helpful if you need to exchange currency or purchase a local SIM Card. US dollars or credit cards can be used directly in many places in Vietnam, but for convenience, you are recommended to exchange a modest amount of Vietnamese Dong in advance. It is better to tip a waiter or buy some souvenirs in Vietnamese Dong.

1. Currency Exchange
You can withdraw cashes from ATM or exchange the foreign currency at a Currency Exchange Office. There are 4 exchange windows at Terminal 2 – BIDV, Maritime Bank, VietinBank and Techcombank, which are distributed in the passing immigration, baggage claim and customs area on the 1st floor. You can exchange at any of them.

2. Buying Local SIM Card
Vietnam has three major communication operators: Viettel, Vinaphone and Mobifone. Viettel is popular with many tourists due to its wide coverage and stable network signal. A Tourist SIM Card package is priced from VND100,000 to 200,000 (USD4 to 8), valid for 7 to 30 days. According to the itinerary, you are recommended to buy a card package with 2GB data, valid for 15 days, at the price of about USD 7. By the Arrival Gate, you can see some Tourist Information Counters, and you can buy a SIM card here.

Day 2 Hanoi - Halong Bay
Drive around 2.5 hours to Halong Bay. Board the cruise and admire the stunning sea views. Explore Luon Cave and relax on Ti Top beach. (B+L+D)

After breakfast, our 2 weeks Vietnam and Cambodia group tour officially starts. we’ll set out for Halong Bay to enjoy a leisure cruise tour on the sea with stunning beaches, grottoes and caves. First, we will drive for about 2.5 hours to the dock to board the ship. On the way, you will enjoy the rustic beauty of the Red River Delta in northern Vietnam. Upon arrival, the cruise crew will welcome you and help you with boarding. After enjoying your Asian set lunch, you will take a bamboo rowing boat or kayak to explore the mysterious Luon Cave, a fairy land in Ha Long Bay. The beauty of the lake inside Luon Cave will ease your soul and wash away your fatigue. Afterwards, you can enjoy the sun bath at Ti Top beach or swim in the sea. The cocktail party will wait for you at top deck during sunset. Delicious dinner will be served onboard. The night-time squid fishing will also be a good choice to relax.

Day 3 Halong Bay - Hanoi
Enjoy morning Tai Chi Class, explore the Sung Sot Cave, and then drive back to Hanoi. (B+L)
Today we suggest you get up early to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over the sea. For early birds, you can join in the morning Tai Chi Class on sundeck to stretch your bodies. After the light breakfast, the cruise guide will accompany you to explore the Sung Sot Cave, the biggest and most beautiful cave in Ha Long Bay. You will climb up about 50 steps to reach the gate of the cave, then you will get into the Serene Castle with thousands of interesting rock formations. You may hear some legend stories from the local guide about how this cave formed and how it lasts for so long. After buffet brunch around 11:00, it’s time to disembark and our driver will pick you up on the shore and send you back to Hanoi city.

► Activity & Food Suggestion:
The rest time of the day is free for you. You can walk northwards for 10 minutes from your hotel to the West Lake, a very scenic spot to watch the locals enjoying life. There are many Vietnamese specialty shops and snack bars along the lakeshore. The best-known food here is Banh Tom Ho Tay, a shrimp cake made with flour, eggs and fresh shrimps. The flour and egg liquid are mixed and stirred fully. The shrimps are then starched with the mixture, and deep-fried in hot oil until being golden brown. With special dipping sauce, Banh Tom Ho Tay is an unmissable food with lasting aftertaste when strolling around the West Lake.

Day 4 Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An
Visit Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and Old Quarter. Fly 1.5h to Da Nang and then drive to Hoi An. (B)

Enjoy a free morning. In the afternoon, your sightseeing trip will start from the Temple of Literature. As Vietnam's first public university, it has educated many elite talents for the country for many years. Later we will walk along the Hoan Kiem Lake and visit some temples around like Ngoc Son Temple, But Tower, Dai Nghien and The Huc Bridge. Then we will explore the famous Old Quarter, aka 36 streets by Cyclo. After that, we will head for Noi Bai airport for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, the driver will meet you up and send you to the hotel in Hoi An.

Day 5 Hoi An
Explore Hoi An Ancient Town by walk: visit Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Hall, Chua Ong Pagoda, and Tan Ky Ancestral House. (B)
Today, the guide will accompany you to roam through the charming Hoi An Ancient Town. The ancient architecture, simple folkway, and clean beaches make Hoi An one of the most beautiful ancient cities in Asia. It was once a trading center of Asia, combining Eastern and Western cultures together to create many centuries-old buildings. Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the well-preserved constructions that are more than 400 years old, like Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Hall, Chua Ong Pagoda, Tan Ky Ancestral House, and some other colonial buildings.

The afternoon is at your own disposal. At night, Hoi An is more fascinating. With lights, from the boats on the river to the shops hung with lanterns on banks of the Thu Bon River, the entire town is decorated more romantically. There are also locals or tourists wearing Vietnamese national costume Ao Dai and shuttling in the crowds. It seems that you travel to the age hundreds of years ago.

Day 6 Hoi An

The best things about Hoi An are its beautiful countryside and local cuisine. This morning, your guide will take you on a bicycle ride to explore the nearby picturesque Village of Tra Que, where you can sample famous snacks such as Cao Lau, White Rose, and Cracked Rice pancake & Corn and Coconut Soup.

In the afternoon, we will go for an adventure in My Son Sanctuary, the mysterious cultural site of the Champa Kingdom. After about an hour's drive through villages and valleys, we will reach My Son Sanctuary deep in the forest, which is renowned as one of the most important religious sites in Southeast Asia. Together with Borobudur ruins in Indonesia, Bagan Temples in Myanmar and Angkor Wat in Cambodia, it is known as the "Four Ancient Kingdom in Southeast Asia". Here you will appreciate the exquisite carving arts of the Champa people, discover their tower building techniques, and learn about the cultural significance of the Hindu god Shiva and his symbol Linga.

Day 7 Hoi An
Enjoy a full day free to relax yourself in Hoi An Ancient Town. (B)
Hoi An is a great place to enjoy leisure time, so today remains free for you. Hoi An is also the home of silk in Vietnam, with plenty of tailor shops on the streets to customize all kinds of skirts, dresses and suits. High-quality silks and fine craftsmanship make the clothing customization of Hoi An famous all over the world. Tan Tan Personal Tailoring is a shop opened by a disabled woman in the ancient town. It has won the praise of many customers with consummate skills, excellent service and reasonable price.

In the afternoon, you can head to the peaceful An Bang Beach and relax yourself there. You could reserve a bicycle in advance at the front desk of your hotel and ask for a Hoi An riding map. According to the map, it takes about 15 minutes to the beach by bike from your hotel. With clean and soft beach, blue sky, comfortable sunshine, coconut grove and sea breeze, you can get away from the crowds. Ordering a cup of drip coffee or cold beer, then lie on the beach to enjoy a leisurely slow life.

Day 8 Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Da Nang Airport and fly 1.5 hours to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer to hotel. (B)
After breakfast, the driver will send you to Da Nang Airport, from where you will fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival, the local driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Ho Chi Minh City is a charming city with French architecture all over the streets. In the afternoon, you can go to explore the Ben Thanh Market and taste some local street foods by yourself.

Day 9 Full Day to Mekong Delta
A wonderful day trip to the famous Mekong Delta. Experience local life, walk into the local orchards and workshops, and taste local specialties. (B+L)

Vietnam is known as the "rice bowl of the world", while Mekong Delta is the "rice bowl of Vietnam". Today we will go to My Tho and Ben Tre, two featured cities in Mekong Delta region, to experience the unique agrarian life.

First, we will drive about 1.5 hours to My Tho, then enjoy a cruise tour to visit an island. Here you will walk into a sweet orchard, taste some seasonal fresh fruits and enjoy the traditional music. Then, we will change to a paddle-boat sailing through the narrow interlaced canals. You will be marveled by the well-developed system of transportation on the Mekong River. Travelling to Ben Tre, we will stop on the way and walk into a local cottage industry to know how the coconut candies come out from the fresh coconuts. Lunch will be served at a local riverside restaurant with the local specialty “Elephant-Ear Fish” and some other Vietnamese dishes like spring rolls and cracked rice. In the afternoon, we will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda before driving back to the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City
Discover Cu Chi Tunnels in the morning. Visit the city highlights like War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office, and Thien Hau Pagoda in the afternoon. (B+L)

After breakfast, the guide will accompany you to visit the 250 km (155 mi) - long underground Cu Chi Tunnels, which used to provide the basic living guarantee for Vietnamese soldiers and played a very important role in the war. After the visit, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.

In the afternoon we'll go to visit the War Remnants Museum. You will also have a quick look of the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. At last, you will be escorted to visit the Thien Hau Pagoda in Cho Lon, a featured Chinese-style temple located on Nguyen Trai Street. Thien Hau Pagoda is dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau Thanh Mau who protects people’s safety and wealth. Thus, many locals come to worship every day, praying for peace and wealth. Visitors are also attracted by the Chinese layout yard, brightly colored ceramic ornaments, lifelike sacred statues, the 500-year-old incense burner, and a cluster of giant incense coils hanging overhead.

Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap
Take a bus to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. (B)
You will head to Siem Reap today. The driver will pick you up from the hotel to Ho Chi Minh City Bus Station for an early bus to Siem Reap at around 7:00. You may have the hotel prepare a take-away breakfast in advance. On the way, the clear sky, lush woods, and straw cottages would show you a typical Southeast Asian rural scenery. It will be an exotic experience to appreciate the idyllic landscapes in Vietnam and Cambodia. About 6 hours driving, the bus will make a stopover in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, where you can take a rest and have lunch. Next, the bus trip will continue for about 5 hours until arriving at Siem Reap station at 21:00. The local driver will pick you up and send you to your hotel.

► Friendly Notice: You Can Also Upgrade to a 1.5-hour Flight:
Although the scenery is beautiful, 11 hours bus trip will be hard. We can also upgrade it to a flight. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap are all scheduled in the afternoon, so you would have a free morning in Ho Chi Minh City. You will be transferred to and from airports by local drivers in both cities. The upgrading fee is around USD 220 net per person.

Day 12 Siem Reap

You will have a relaxing free morning. In the afternoon, your guide will take you across Tonle Sap Lake by boat to floating villages. You can enjoy the natural scenery as well as fishing grounds along the shore, and learn about the environment where the local people live. Unlike those floating villages along the Mekong River in Vietnam, where villagers live in stilted houses on banks, people here live on boats in the Tonle Sap Lake and would not row to the land. Depending on rises and falls of lake water, they drift to different sites. We will get into the home of a villager and you will have the opportunity to learn more about their life on the water.

After the family visit, we will return to the shore and walk into Artisans Angkor to enjoy Cambodian national handicrafts, silk painting, wood carving, stone carving, lacquer ware and pottery. Most of the high-quality souvenirs in Siem Reap are made by artists here. It is also a charity that provides training for poor school dropouts or disabled people, improving the life of the disadvantaged in society while enabling Khmer folk arts to be passed on. From the working of the craftsmen on site, you can clearly witness the details of each craft from the original material to the final completion. For example, silk painting, you will learn the cultivation of silkworms, reeling off raw silk, weaving, embroidery, and finally a piece of fine silk painting work presented. The meticulous attitude towards working and positive attitude to life also infect visitors.

Day 13 Siem Reap
Enjoy sunrise over Angkor Wat. Spend a full day to explore Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King, and Ta Prohm. (B+L)

Today we’re going to explore the history, culture, architecture and arts more than 900 years ago at the Temples of Angkor Archaeological Park. We will set out at 5:00 am for Angkor Wat, to see the spectacular sunrise. Our guide will show you the best shooting spots, where you can get the memorable pictures looking like postcards. Angkor Wat is the best preserved temple in the entire ancient city of Angkor, known for its magnificent architecture and wondrous reliefs; it is also the largest temple in the world. After that, we will go back to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, your guide will lead you to Angkor Thom, the capital of the Angkor Period, and an ancient city of 10 sq km (3.9 sq mi) made of huge rocks that could house millions of people. There are many marvelous stone carvings on the giant rocks, describing the famous Hindu myth - Churning the Milk Sea. The gods and demons worked together to stir the milk sea with the body of a giant snake in order to obtain the Dew of Life. Do you know who got the elixir of immortality at last? How can we tell the difference between the gods and demons on the relief? Your guide will answer all the questions. Upon entering from the South Gate, you will gaze at the famous ‘Smile of Khmer’ at Bayon Temple, feel the power of the Khmer army on the Terrace of the Elephants, and get to know the Khmer sacrificial culture at the Terrace of Leper King. Afterwards, we will walk out of Angkor Thom from the Victory Gate.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Ta Prohm, a temple engulfed in the jungle, gathering ancient temple ruins and majestic towering trees together, which make you feel the power and mystery of nature. Finally, we will get back to the hotel for rest.

Travel Tips:
1. Please wear a shirt with sleeves and a dress or trousers below the knees when visiting temples.
2. There are many steps to climb in Angkor Wat, so a pair of comfortable shoes is very necessary.
3. Inside Angkor Wat, please do not tease the monkeys in the park with food to avoid being scratched.
4. The weather in Siem Reap is scorching and there are many mosquitoes. Please take precautions against the sun and mosquitoes.
