Amelia BMay 28, 2025Thank you Helen for an amazing day!Five stars for Helen! This was an action packed tour that made us feel like we got to see so much of Beijing in just one day. From a morning visit to the Summer Palace, to a rickshaw tour of Hutong neighborhoods and getting to go inside a hutong home, to an authentic dumpling lunch and visits to the Temple of Heaven and Lama Temple - WOW! Somehow Helen made a packed day go smoothly. We learned so much and Helen is a kind and knowledgeable guide.

The mini bus was comfortable, very clean and AC was working perfectly. During the hour long ride to the site Tracy talked about history of China and how Xian fitted into the history with nice anecdotes and good insight information. Arriving on the site , we did not have to queue for long , so it was smooth and easy . We located the toilets , make arrangements in case of anyone losing the group ... We located the toilets , make arrangements in case of anyone losing the group and off we went to visit all the pits , the temporary exhibition , after we visited one of the farmers that discovered the warriors, he was kind and signed our books and little warrior replicas we bought from the gift shop. We had a nice lunch in clean restaurant and off we went back to the bus to finish our tour to the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Wall . Having a good tour guide makes all the difference, Tracy gave us room for exploring but always on hand to explain and to bring inside info about Chinese culture and history . She helped us book a dine and show for the evening and it was another amazing experience in Xian.
We had a great time and definitely would recommend it to everyone. Beautiful and worth every penny. Collapse
alwaystravelsfMay 27, 2025Great tour of Great Wall with RockyAs a Solo traveler I found this a perfect way to visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden Coty and the Great Wall of China. It took all the guesswork out of how to book tickets , arrange transportation and all the logistics.
Our guide Rocky was friendly, informative and answered all our questions. He always waited for the stragglers and even took photos of us individually and as a group and was able to upload them at the end of the day.
Do yourself a favor and book this tour!

I booked 3 tours through them - in Beijing and Xian - the trips were very well organised with friendly, knowledgeable guides - Lucy and Michael especially - the cars were very comfortable, one with massage seats! The tours were fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable.

Collapse- MAMarcosJul 10, 2024Super helpful and friendlyThey are great, we booked with them tickets for the forbidden city (which are very difficult to get for occidental people) and they managed to do it in the day and time a lot that we chose.
We got in contact with them through WeChat and they replied really fast and offer us extra help to make reservation to Tiannamen square, which we didn’t know that you needede a booking in advance (free entrance).
In our case we spoke with Christina and she was great!

You will need to have cash, not many places accept card. May be use Wise or master card to draw cash.
Try to travel with smaller luggages because the train rides in and out with big luggages can be hard. You can place the Small bags on the overhead compartment.
Bring roll on deodorant, one of the train ride security confiscated spray deodorants and opened alcohol.

I booked the trip online and our consultant Wendy was very helpful. All of our guides were very knowledgeable and spoke English well. The cost was reasonable and we did not encounter any unexpected fees.

Our guide Maggie got in touch the day before and we were able to plan the tour together. Maggie and the bus arrived at the hotel on time and she provided us with in-depth information during the journey.
In addition to the places Maggie showed and explained, we had time to explore everywhere on our own. She was also happy to fulfil our wishes. All in all, I would describe the tour as very successful. Any time again with Travel China Guide.

We just got back home to Colorado Springs from Shanghai late last night. We spent several days in Suzhou and Shanghai after our Zhangjiajie and Huangshan tours.
We would like to thank you once again for arranging the Zhangjiajie and Huangshan tours. Everything was perfect, from the land tour, rail/airplane tickets to the hotels! LJ and April were such wonderful tour guides! They were very informative, personable and attentive to our needs. Our 7 people tour group are mostly senior citizens ranging from 56 to 76 years old. Everyone was extremely happy with the tours. We highly recommend LJ (Zhangjiajie tour) and April (Huangshan tour). They're both 10/10 and 5 star tour guides!!!

Communication with tour consultant Emily was good. Guide Connie in Chengdu was excellent, Kitty in Beijing and Celine in Xi'an were good and David in Shanghai was mediocre. Most drivers were good but the one in Beijing wasn't great. Program was comprehensive though I wasn't interested in museums in Chengdu or Shanghai. Can't say any of the included lunches or dinners were to my taste. Hotels were of a good standard (Chengdu less than the others) and well located.

We used ChinaTourGuide for a 11-day tour of Beijing, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie and Shanghai. TravelChinaGuide was very organized arranging transportation from the airports to the hotels and providing the air connections between the cities. They stayed in touch with us via phone, text or email throughout. The tour guides in each location were very good on the tours and were helpful for non-tour stuff as well. We had a very nice trip and a good time.

What an amazing tour company. It was well structured and very organized from the beginning to end. We visited Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai. Our tour guide at each destination was already waiting for us by the time we got out. They were flexible with our needs. We added more places to see at the last minute and they were able to arrange it for us. All the places they suggested were worth seeing. The transportation at each place was spacious. Everything was very well organized, tailored exactly according to our wishes. We visited 3 cities in 9 days with guides and the drivers who were very professional in every moment. We especially liked Carol's tour in Xian.
