Hi, there! I’m Maggie. My friends and colleagues often describe me as an optimistic, energetic, considerate and warm-hearted person. Possessing such a personality, I am always full of vitality and confidence in my work and family lives.
I have a wide range of interests, such as jogging, cooking, travel, photography, calligraphy, etc. I love jogging regularly to keep fit. Friends commend me a master cook. I often invite them to my house and show them my cooking talents. As a matter of fact, travel has been a favorite of mine from an early age as it makes me feel relaxed, refreshed and informative. Also, I like to communicate with different people and make new friends. Naturally, I made a fortunate decision to work as a travel consultant with TravelChinaGuide after my graduation from college in 2005. In the past few years, I have left my footprints in some famous tourist cities, such as Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Shanghai, Urumqi, Turpan, Kashgar and so on, consequently I have had many exciting experiences.
With rich experience and keen interest in travel, I especially enjoy my time at work. I gain pleasure from helping clients with their tour arrangements in China. During every single interaction with clients, I feel like that we are all friends drawn together by the same interests. Experience I will never forget was on the business Yangtze River cruise trip I took in October of 2007 with a group of my clients. During our connecting flight one of the tour members was taken ill and the fact that all her luggage was in the hold was a problem, one that the air attendants were unable to solve. Her husband approached me and I was able to help out with some items of clothing from my hand baggage. Upon landing, I was able to get them a taxi to take them to the cruise ship where I arranged for the lady to have medical attention. Being away from home and encountering such difficulties is a terrible problem and I like to think that they asked help from me not only as their tour guide but because they trusted me as friend.
Life lies not in living but in liking and expanding new experiences. I take pride in our country’s abundant and diverse tourism resources, and while there is still so much more for me to see in my motherland, I hope that one day I can travel abroad.
