My name is Jessica Zhang. I am from a village in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. As an English major graduating from Xi'an International Studies University in 2014, I am delighted to have found a job at TravelChinaGuide where I can practice my English. I love my job in the ticket booking center since my colleagues here are all friendly and helpful to each other in both their business and personal lives. Besides, personally, Xi'an is one of my ideal cities in which to live and work.
Xi'an has been the capital of thirteen dynasties and also No. 1 among the seven ancient Chinese cities. Its city wall, the Wild Goose Pagoda, Terracotta Warriors, Banpo Museum, the Qianling Tomb, the Huaqing Spring, the Bell and Drum Tower each represent aspects of the long history and ancient culture of Xi'an. Apart from the popular places for sightseeing, there is also delicious food here. For me it was an impressive journey when I first came to Xi'an. All in all, it is a beautiful city.
There are also many other attractive places in China. If I have an opportunity, I would like to travel by myself. I think that I will learn a lot and enrich my experience. However, traveling with family and friends are favourites as we can exchange our opinions and share the interesting stories we learn from the sites during our trips. I believe that life’s journey is not merely to find one’s self but to create the person you wish to be. Also, I think traveling can enrich my life as it enables me to gain experience. Like a teacher, travel brings me new knowledge and more spiritual support.
I will also learn to grow through my valuable work experience with TravelChinaGuide (TCG) and so become more professional. Like my colleagues here, I want to be helpful to others. We are like sisters and brothers in a big family. I cherish very moment working with my colleagues. They are all hardworking, efficient and passionate. The best quality I have discovered in TCG is its customer service orientation, which is probably the most important aspect of any business. I am sure I will get along well with everyone in TCG; as we all learn from each other and help each other.
Finally, I want to share my happiness with everyone here. In three days we will celebrate our Mid-autumn Festival on Aug. 15 in the lunar year, watching the glorious full moon and enjoying the delicious moon-cakes. This has been practiced since ancient times in China. If you happen to be by the seaside or on the coastal places on Sep. 8, you will gain an invaluable experience over that year when you see the moon slowly rise from the sapphire blue ocean and your feet step upon the soft sand. To appreciate the moon at the seaside, I would like to recommend to you some of the best viewing spots in China, such as, Sanya in Hainan Province, Qingdao and Rongcheng in Shandong Province, Mount Putuo in Zhejiang Province. Welcome to China to celebrate the festivals!
