I joined TravelChinaGuide.com (TCG as we call it) in 2003, and since then I have witnessed its outstanding ability to offer the best services to its clients every day. I can proudly say that I'm lucky to be a member of this energetic and dedicated team.
I was born in Shiyan City, the north-western part of Hubei Province, where the famous Taoist Wudang Mountain is located. The city is a mountainous one with pure sky and surrounded by a limpid river. People there enjoy a cozy life. Not like that in bigger cities, where every one is busy with earning a living. I left my hometown at the age of 19 when I graduated from high school.
Like most students of my age, I was taught to study day and night to prepare for the college entrance exam, not to think about going out and socializing. However, once in collage, my life transformed. I attended college in Changsha, Hunan Province and there I was far from our nagging mom, and able to enjoy the freedom I dreamed of. It was during this time that I began to travel in my spare time, and thus fell deeply in love with traveling.
I joined TCG after graduatiing from university and settled down in Xi'an. Working for TCG is not a job, but rather a career for me, because I love to share my knowledge of China with those who also love traveling. Every time I get feedback from my clients saying that their vacation in China was excellent and thanking us for our professional service, it is very rewarding and I feel all my efforts are worthwhile.
During the last decade, I’ve traveled extensively to many cities, including Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, Shanghai, Suzhou, Changsha, Chongqing, Wuhan, and Yichang along the Yangtze River. I have visited many small cities and towns in Hunan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces, also the Tibet Altiplano, and Xinjiang in the far west. Each city delivers a different aspect of China to me. The historical Xi'an and Beijing tell their glorious stories with numerous cultural relics; the metropolis that is Shanghai allures me with its bustling and hustling atmosphere. Picturesque Guilin showcases the natural beauty through its rivers and hills; while the mysterious minorities of Xinjiang and Tibet bring an exotic fairyland. I can’t choose a favorite city, and I’m eager to explore more places I’ve not been to.
I am blessed in so many ways. I live in the beautiful, ancient capital city Xi’an with my beloved husband and 7-year-old son, working in an industry I love very much. My travel style has changed the years, from travelling alone to partaking in family activities and holidays. We spend most of our weekends and public holidays taking short excursions around cities that are within a reasonable driving distance. And I plan to take my son for longer trips when he is older, both here and abroad. It has been a real pleasure for me to travel and have such rich experiences when I was on my own, and now I’d like to share it with my family. So if you have the same idea as me, just come to visit our website and tell us what you are thinking about, our team will be glad to offer suggestions and help you organize your China vacation!
