Hi, to apply for a Chinese tourist L type in Hungary, you are supposed to prepare your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, studying residence permit and the copy in there, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.

Visa to Hungary
Hello! I am Russian citizen, doing business in China. I would like to visit my friend in Hungary who is going to be a sponsor of my trip. How can I apply and what documents do I need?

Tatiana, you can apply for a tourist entry permit for Hungary to visit your friend. You should first prepare those documents including your passport, the fully filled-out application form, a recently-taken passport-style photo, travel insurance, your valid visa for China, proof of your bank savings account, and an invitation letter from your friend, as well as copies of your friend’s passport and residence permit in Hungary.
Next, go to the embassy of Hungary to apply for it.

Thank you for a quick reply. If my friend is a sponsor of my trip do I still need to provide a statement from bank account?

I’m afraid the bank statement is still needed, and maybe you can provide your friend’s bank statement, and inside the invitation letter, she/he needs to state that she/he will sponsor you and burden all your expenses in Hungary.

Okay:) one more question. Do I have to apply personally (if so which city?) or can I just send all the papers by mail?

Where you should apply mainly depends on your living area. May I know where you live so that I can tell you where you should apply?
You cannot apply by mail. You need to go there to apply personally.

You go there for tourism purpose, right? If yes, you should first prepare the relevant documents including your passport and its copy, a completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo, travel insurance, your residence permit in PRC, proof of your financial support, and your travel itinerary, as well as accommodation arrangement.
And then go to the embassy of Hungary to apply for the tourist visa.

Do I need an entry visa to Hungary?
Hi, I'm a student in pcr. I'm planning to visit my sister in Hungary during my summer holidays from 11 july to 28 august (about 6 weeks ). Do I need to apply for a visa before I go there? I've read that if i will stay there for less than 90 days I don't need any visa.

According to the information I got from the official website of the embassy of Hungary in PRC, Mauritius is not one of those countries whose citizens can enjoy free entry to Hungary.
Or you can contact with the embassy of Hungary and confirm that. Tel: (+86 10) 6532-0665, (+86 10) 6532-1431
