Notices for Chinese Going to Bulgaria

According to the Visa Abolition Agreement between Bulgaria and China, Chinese diplomatic / service (official) / ordinary passport holders (including Hong Kong and Marco) are exempt from visa and they can stay there for up to 90 days.

The Republic of Bulgaria does not recognize dual nationality. Foreigners gaining Bulgarian Permanent Residence for a period exceeding 5 years can apply for Bulgarian nationality.

Most nationals believe in Orthodox Church, and 10% of residents who are Turks take the belief of Islam. Contrary to China, a vertical head nod means negation and a lateral headshake means approval. Traditionally, Bulgarians present even-numbered flowers in funerals, so it is a taboo to give even-numbered gifts or flowers in daily life.

The price generally is 0.50 - 0.70 Bulgarian Lev per kilometers. The starting (minimum) fare is also 0.50 - 0.70 Lev. The taxi is yellow and there is 'taxi' in the top of the taxi. In Sofia, you'd better choose OK Taxi Company (call 9732121), Soifiataxi company, or taxi marked with 91280.
