Usually, the embassy doesn't accept the mailed application, so you are advised to go there to submit the documents in person or you can find someone else to help you do that on your behalf.

Applying for a citizenship living in the philippines
Hello, i would like to know how can I apply for a citizenship if I am living in the Philippines? I am currently holding a Philippine passport but my mom is bahamian citizen but her passport was already expired many years ago. I received lots of emails from the immigration stating that I can apply for a citizenship but the thing is I need to acquire a visa to go to china which I think would be a little difficult. Would there be any guarantee that I can get a chinese visa if my purpose is to settle my bahamian citizenship?

Christian, all I can say is that you can probably get the visa to enter PRC. No one can tell you for sure you can get it.
You can apply for a tourist L type to PRC and then apply for a citizenship at the embassy of Bahamas.
You can first make full preparation and then apply for Chinese tourist L type. The required documents including your passport and copy of its data page, the completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, proof of your financial support, hotel reservation and round trip air tickets, as well as your residence permit in Philippines. And then submit your application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.
