am in Belo Horizont.
Do I need to submit my application in person in Rio, or is there an agent service available?
How much is the fee, and where do I pay?

 Answered by Ms. MILES(United Kingdom)
Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais is under the consular jurisdiction of China Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, you can submit application in person to the consulate in Rio de Janeiro or entrust a travel agency to do it for you, the fee is R$70,00 for single entry, the service fee is charged by the agency. If you go to the consulate in person, you need to pay for it when you collect it. If you use an agent, you just need to pay for him. He will arrange everything for you.

As I know, at least in Chinese Consulate General in Sao Paulo, the appointment is not needed anymore and just submit all the required documents directly.
Asked by Liz from USA CITIZEN IN BRAZIL | Sep. 23, 2017 07:48Reply
U.S. Citizen teaching in Brazil. I was offered a position in China
I'm a U.S. Citizen teaching in Brazil. I was offered a position to teach in China. I also have Brazilian citizenship. I'm in the RS, southernmost state in Brazil. It's difficult to travel as I teach every day except Sunday. I need an entry permit to work and authenticate my degrees and documents. The university that is hiring me (BFSU) will send me instructions in the next few days. Can I process this through a travel agency or do I need to apply in person? How much for the Visa and each document authentication? (BFSU will reimburse me, soI need to present a receipt with the amounts paid for each service).

I forgot to mention: the entry permit needs to be in my USA passport. Thanks.
Thanks. Liz

Liz, you can find a travel agency to make the application on your behalf.
A work Z type costs R$460.
The authentication costs R$80 per document.

Moustafa, if you go there for tourism purpose, you can apply for a tourist L type for that. You need to provide copy of passport, the application form affixed with a passport-style photo, residence permit in Brazil (if needed), transportation and accommodation arrangement. Usually, it takes four working days to process the application.
