Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport

Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport is a civil aviation airport located at Zhujiajian, Putuo District of Zhoushan City. It is within 10 minutes’ driving distance from Wugongzhi Wharf where direct ferries are densely scheduled for Mt. Putuo. Formerly named Zhujiajian Airport, the airport got the present name in 1998.

It has two terminal buildings, with the Domestic Terminal in service only which covers an area of about 7,500 square yards (6,300 square meters). The size of the International Terminal is 5,000 square yards (4,200 square meters) and is expected to operate in a few years. By then several international air routes will open. Zhoushan Airport is not as busy as that in large cities, but still receives a large number of passengers because of the renowned Mt. Putuo.
 
As the number of passengers using the airport is climbing, the services and facilities equipped here seem insufficient, so the renovation is being carried out. Meanwhile, it is reported that a new two-story domestic terminal will be built between the current two terminal buildings in the future.

 Boarding Tips:
1. The check-in counters are closed 30 minutes before the flights' departure. It is suggested to arrive at the airport 60-90 minutes in advance to check in. If taking a large plane with the volume of more than 200 passengers, it is best to be present ahead of 120 minutes.
2. If the luggage is large than 20cm*40cm*55cm or a single bag is over 5kg, it is necessary to check it in.
3. The boarding gate number is printed on the boarding pass. When the boarding gate is open for due flight, the broadcasting will announce both in Chinese and English. Do listen carefully.
4. For the sake of security, babies within 14 days old and women over 38 weeks pregnant are not allowed to board the flight.
  By City Bus
Take bus no. 25 at the airport and get off at Marine Science and Technology Museum with the fare of CNY3. Walk for 3 minutes to Daqiaodongkou bus stop to take bus no. 27 or K27 to Cihang Square. Eventually, walk to Wugongzhi Wharf and take a ferry to get there.

 By Shuttle Bus
Take airport shuttle bus to Wugongzhi Wharf directly within 10 minutes and then take a ferry to get there. The schedules of the shuttle bus depend on the flight arrivals.
 
 By Taxi:
Outside the Arrival Hall of the terminal building, passengers can take a taxi to Wugongzhi Wharf and then catch a ferry to Mt. Putuo. The cab fare is CNY10-12. Sometimes the driver may overcharge as high as CNY30, just bargain for a reasonable price.
