Lijiang Airport

 Location: Lijiang Airport is 28 kilometers (about 17.4 miles) to the south of Lijiang City and about 30 kilometers (about 18.6 miles) from the Old Town of Lijiang.

 Brief Intro: It was opened to the public in July, 1995 with an area about 1,200,000 square meters (about 12,916,693 square feet) and an elevation of about 2,242.6 meters (about 7,357.6 feet). Its terminal consists of the 5,700-square-meters' Domestic Terminal and the 2,286-square-meters' International Terminal. There are a 2,500-meter (about 2,734 yards) long runway and a landing field which can seat 6 planes. Currently, it has airlines to more than 10 cities such as Beijing, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Guiyang, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Kunming and Banna.

Tips: The schedule of shuttle bus from downtown Lijiang to the airport may be changed in terms of the real-time flights schedule. It is suggested that passengers check the schedule from the bus station one day in advance.

Taxis Outside of Lijiang Airport

 Transportation between Airport and the Lijiang Old Town
1. Passengers may get to the Old Town directly by taxi. It costs about CNY 80.
2. Another direct way to the Old Town is by minibus. It can seat 7 persons and the ticket fare is CNY50/person.
3. Passengers may also take the shuttle bus to its terminus and then change to a taxi to the Old Town. The taxi fare is about CNY7-10.
  Parking Lot: Located in front of the terminal building, two parking lots cover a total area of 2,500 square meters (about 26,910 square feet) and are able to seat 200 cars.
 The Isolation Area is where water fountains are situated.
 Clear signs are successively located in the terminal building for passengers' convenience.
 There are business shops and restaurants in the terminal.
  The service of inquiry offers information concerning the flight, boarding, etc.
 Lost luggage is kept for passengers for 90 days.
 Broadcasts are given every 30 minutes upon flight delay as well as other related services.
 Free wheel-chairs and prior Security Check are offered to special passengers, who have applied in advance, i.e. passengers over 70, the weak, the disabled, the pregnant, the one with babies and children without companions.
