Yantai Penglai International Airport

Airport Code: YNT

Yantai Penglai International Airport started operating in May, 2015, taking the place of the Laishan Airport which ended its 31 years' civil aviation transport services. Covering about 107,639 square yards (90,000 square meters), Yantai Airport is nestled at Liujiazhuang, Chaoshui Town, Penglai City, about 28 miles (45 kilometers) from downtown Yantai.

Air China (CA), China Eastern Airlines (MU), China Southern Airlines (CZ), JoyAir (JR), Shandong Airlines (SC), Shanghai Airlines (FM), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH), Sichuan Airlines (3U), Tianjin Airlines (GS), Asiana Airlines (AA), China Airlines (CI) etc.

With these airlines, Yantai is connected to many cities. The domestic ones are Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Dalian, Chongqing, Jinan, Harbin, Shijiazhuang, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Kunming, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Guiyang, Changsha, Shenyang, Chengdu, Changchun, Nanning, Yanji, Guilin, Jining, Linyi, and Taiyuan, and the international ones include Seoul, Busan, Osaka, Nagoya, Hong Kong, and Taipei

Check-in Counters: There are 48 check-in counters scattered in three check-in islands, with the direction boards marked in Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese. Passengers to international areas, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan can check in at Island A; Island C is specially set for Shandong Airlines' passengers and Island B offers check-in services for other domestic flights/airlines.

Boarding Gates: 23 boarding gates are in operation: gates nos. 1-5 are for international flights and flights to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and gates nos. 8-23 are for domestic flights. Gates nos. 6 and 7 are for emergency use.
