Jilin Ertaizi Airport

 Location: Jilin Ertaizi Airport will be located in Changyi District, in the northwest of Jilin City, Jilin Province which will be 22.5 kilometers (14 miles) to Jilin Railway Station.

 Jilin Airport is still planned whose time of construction is unknown to all. Jilin Ertaizi Airport used to be a civil and military airport before the opening of Changchun Longjia International Airport. In 2016, the government has started to prepare for the extension of Ertaizi Airport. The grade index of flights area will be 4C. Jilin Ertaizi Airport will repair the original runway, and will build a new parallel taxiway with a length of 2.6 kilometers (1.6 miles) and a width of 25 meters (27 yards), a contact taxiway of 191 meters (209 yards), two airfield aprons of 306m × 245m and 395m × 200m, a new terminal and some supporting facilities. After the resumption of the flights, the throughput of passengers will reach 800,000 person-times and cargo will reach 21,500 tons. To make the transportation more convenient, metro line 1 will be extended to Ertaizi Airport in the future.
  Step 1: Fly to Changchun Longjia International Airport
As the largest civil airport in Jilin Province, Changchun Airport has opened flights to more than 50 domestic cities including Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming, Sanya, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi’an, Xiamen… and more than 20 international flights to Bangkok, Chiengmai, Okiniwa, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Sendai, Nagoya, Vladivostok, Irkutsk….
  Step 2: Transfer from airport to Changchun Railway Station
First, take airport shuttle bus line 1 from airport to Changchun North Coach Station. Then walk to the east for about 5 minutes to Changchun Railway Station. This shuttle bus running from 08:00 to 24:00 with a frequency of 30 minutes. The journey time to railway station is about 1 hour and 40 minutes and the ticket fare is CNY 25/person. Or passengers can go to railway station by airport shuttle bus line 3 which operating hours are from 08:00 to 15:00. After getting off at Kaixuanlu Coach Station, walk to the south for 160 meters (175 yards) to Changchun Railway Station.

Step 3: Transfer to Jilin by Train
There are 66 high speed trains and bullet trains from Changchun to Jilin every day with a duration of 40 to 50 minutes. The first train sets out at 05:38 and the last train at 22:02. The cost of ticket is CNY 31.5/person for second class seat and standing-room-only ticket, CNY 52/person for first class seat and CNY 58.5/person for business class seat.

Running from 04:10 to 18:54, normal speed train to Jilin run 9 trains every day. The length of time spend on the journey is 1.5 to 2 hours. Except that the train leaving at about 07:51 has just hard seat and standing-room-only ticket of CNY 9.5/person, the other trains has softer sleeper seat of CNY 99.5/person, hard sleeper seat of 65.5/person and hard seat and standing-room-only ticket of CNY 19.5/person.
 

1. Transfer at Changchun Central Coach Station: Take airport shuttle bus line 1 or 3 to Xiguangchang Stop and then walk about 600 meters (656 yards) to Changchun Central Coach Station. The travel time is around 1 hour and 35 minutes. Buses to Jilin has 7 every day departing at 06:15, 07:00, 11:30, 12:15, 12:45, 13:15 and 14:00 with a journey time about 2 hours and 40 minutes and a fare of CNY 29 to 36/person.

2. Transfer at Highway Coach Station: After arriving at Chongqing Road by airport shuttle bus line 1, transfer to metro line 1 and travel from People’s Square to Weixing Square. Get out from Exit D and walk south for 550 meters (600 yards) to the Highway Coach Station. The buses leave for Jilin at 08:00, 09:30, 10:30, 11:40, 13:00, 14:00, 15:20 and 17:00. And it will take CNY 25/person and about 2.5 hours to Jilin.
