March 3rd Singing Fair (San Yue San Ge Xu)
Every year on lunar March 3rd, Zhuang people hold various interesting singing games to celebrate this ancient festival. Singing to find spouses or friends, echoing singing, song name guessing are all particular activities of this wonderful ethnic group. Local operas will also be played, quite attractive to those who are interested in Chinese folk music.

Dragon Boat Competition

In May and October every year, colorful dragon boats throng Yang Mei River in Yangmei Ancient Town. Drum beats start the competition and thousands of spectators cheer for the boats. Such an exciting scene should not be missed when you are in Yangmei.

International Festivals
China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO)
Every November, CAEXPO sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and ASEAN Commerce Department is held in Nanning. Commodities shows, business cooperation, commerce summit forum as well as other consulting meetings provide a wide platform for merchants to communication with others from all over the world.

Nanning International Folk Music& Art Festival
Every November, musicians and artists from home and abroad gather in this city, forming an art communication feast. During the festival, many grand activities are held, such as the National Ethnic Folk Music Competition, Square Culture Presentation and Southeast Asia Delicious Food Festival.

Flower Seasons
From February to April, flowers bloom on mountains to attract more tourists. Mt Qingxiu has the Peachblossom Festival and Mt. Daming holds the Azalea Festival, making the whole city full of the fragrance of these flowers. Hengxian, the famous hometown of jasmine, holds the Jasmine Festival in every August. Jasmine tea fans should not miss this fragrance in August!

Would like to know exact date of Nanning March 3rd Singing Fair (San Yue San Ge Xu) of 2017?

Where is this celebration in this city? What are the programmes available?

It will be held at Wuming District of the city. The fair is usually held from 1st to 10th of the third lunar month. It will be from March 28th to April 6th, 2017. The programmes are songs, dances, sports, and wonderful performances. Have fun! :)

Could you suggest me how I plan for my trip to Nanning from 23/10/2016 - 30/10/2016?

And which one is better, direct flight from indonesia to NN or flight to guangzhou first then take public transportation?
If I go to guangzhou first, do you have any suggest places to visit before I go to NN?
And Is it possible if I go to hongkong too?

Since you have eight days, you will have enough time to cover the three cities. You may fly to Hong Kong first. Then, you can take a train to Guangzhou from Hung Hom Railway Station (about 2 hours). After sightseeing, you can take a bullet train to NN.

The must-see attractions in Hong Kong are Disneyland Resort, Big Buddha, Ocean Park, Victoria Peak, Causeway Bay, Stanley Market, Aberdeen, etc.

In Guangzhou, you may go to see Canton Tower, Pearl River, Haizhu Square, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, and Baiyun Mountain.

When you are in NN, you may visit Qingxiu Moutain, Yangmei Ancient Town, Detian Waterfalls, and Nanhu Lake Park.

You may spend three days at Hong Kong, two days at Guangzhou, and three days at NN. May you have a wonderful trip! :)

How do I plan my stay in Nanning from 21.12.13-30.12.13.

I would like to visit near by places e.g. Youngshuo/Guilin. Thanks

I think besides Guilin and Yangshuo, Longsheng Terrace is worth seeing and for these three places, it is suggested to spend four to five days.
Then you can choose to go to Beihai for about two days. Then you can spend about one to two days in NN city.

From local Langdong Bus Station, there are frequent buses to reach GL directly. The buses operate from 07:30 to 22:00 with the interval around 15 to 20 minutes.

There is no direct flight from London to Guangxi. There is direct flight from Heathrow airport to Guangzhou. You can take the flight to Guangzhou and then take trains or buses to go to your destination in Guangxi.
