Nanning has various local products ranging from fruits to handicrafts to traditional medicines. Lychee, banana, pineapple and mango are the most productive fruits, thus quite cheap. Yangmei Ancient Town on the outskirts of the city has three treasures that are popular with tourists: preserved salted vegetable, fermented bean and ground rice cake. Bulbus-fritilariae Lemon Plum is another traditional local snack.

Leather products are varied and exquisite. Handbags, luggage cases, waistbands and shoes are easily found in the city. Zhuang Jin making (Brocade of Zhuang ethnic minority group) has a long history and is the most traditional and symbolic tourist souvenir of Guangxi Province. The glittering arrays of golden and silver ornaments are also good choices. In addition, Radix Isatidis, a kind of medicine that can cure cold and faucitis, is mainly produced in Nanning.

Shopping Places

Chao Yang Lu (Changyang Rd.) is the main shopping street of the city. There are many modern and comprehensive malls and supermarkets such as Nanning Department Mall, Diamond Square, and Wal-Mart Supermarket.

Xing Ning Jie (Xingning Rd.) is where tourists can find various golden ornaments with relatively low prices.

Xi Guan Lu (Xiguan Rd.) is one of the city's night markets where hawkers sell cheap clothes, cosmetics and dolls.

Yuan Hu Lu (Yuanhu Rd. in its northern part) is a market of flowers, bonsais, birds, fish and other pets.

Fu Ye Tian Di Tourist Souvenirs Market is located in the underground square in front of the local railway station.

ADMIRAL CITY is a big modern shopping mall situated at No. 131, Minzu Avenue in the east of the city. Opposite of the Nanning Exhibition Center, it includes several brand shops, a food court, WALMART, restaurants with nice terraces where you can eat outside. Nightlife

To some extent, nightlife can reflect a city's outlook. Though Nanning's nightlife cannot be compared to those of Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other highly developed cities, its citizens do enjoy their life in special ways.

Visitors can choose from a variety of nightlife to enjoy when they are there. Zhuang ethnic folk songs are sung in Min Ge Square and Wuxiang Square. Shinning stars are reflected in the tranquil Yongjiang River. Sitting on the square or taking a walk along the river is a good choice for those who want to unwind after a busy day at work. Strolling through the streets decorated by colorful neon lights, visitors will be dazzled by the many food stalls, bars, nightclubs, gyms and coffee bars. These places are the favorites of the younger generation; while malls and department stores are filled with people shopping until 23:00 every night.

One recent trend is that more and more people, especially young men, choose to study even after a hard day's work. As a result, there are many schools and organizations offering evening classes in remedial English, computer training and a variety of other subjects. This will make this city a more educated and sophisticated city in the future.

Maybe you can go around at the stores opposite the railway station. You can take metro line 1 to the railway station (Exit 1). It takes around 15 minutes with CNY2.

You can buy the tea at New Zhengda Tea City, located at 4th floor, no.58, Nanhu Road and you can buy the souvenirs like toys, keychains at Fuzimiao Qinhuan Gifts Shop, located at Gongyuanjie Fuzimiao.

Where i can find whole sale mall for clothes and electronics and toys in Nanning?

1. For clothes, you can go to New Heping Department Store. Most products have nice quality and cheap price. The address is No.3, Middle Renmin Road, Xingning District.
2. For electronics, you can go to Saga Electronic Market. It is situation at No.158, East Renmin Road.
3. For toys, South China City Wholesale Market is a nice choice. It's located at No.56, Shajing Avenue.

You can find the clothes, toys and electronics in Yufeng Department Store. However, as I know, the prices of most products there are not cheap.

Yes, gold and silver jewellery abounds at Xingning Road. Take bus line 10, 17, 23, 26, 33, 37, 41, 50, 78, 81, or 220 to Chaoyang Square Station, and walk south for about 300 yards to it.
