Beihai Fucheng Airport

About 15 miles (24 kilometers) away from the city proper, Beihai Fucheng Airport is situated at the Fucheng Town of eastern Beihai. It began to operate in 1987 and has witnessed extension thereafter. By now air routes from/to some famous tourist destinations like Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an as well as Hong Kong have been opened in the airport.

Two terminal buildings are available at Beihai Airport. The old one doesn’t receive passengers any more. Instead, it is used for freight service. Covering almost 7 acres (3 hectares), the new terminal, which was put into service in 2007, is composed of two floors:  
1F: Check-in Counters, Arrival Hall
2F: Departure Hall, Security Channel, Waiting Hall, VIP Lounges (only for first class and business class ticket holders)

Note: Only one luggage carousel is equipped here, which is easy to spot at the Arrival Hall

Note: The check-in counters are closed half an hour before departure. Passengers should arrive at the airport 60-90 minutes in advance.

Taxi:
It is easy to take a taxi outside the terminal building on 1F. The drivers usually don't use the taximeter, so it is necessary to negotiate for a reasonable price before boarding. Generally it costs CNY80-100 to get to the downtown area like Beihai Railway Station. The following fare is just for your reference:

 To Silver Beach:
Take shuttle bus to Nanzhu Bus Station and change to bus no. 21. Get off at the terminal station – Silver Beach. If travelling by taxi, it takes 40 minutes and costs about CNY120.

 To Golden Bay Mangrove:
Take shuttle bus to Nanzhu Bus Station. Walk 2-3 minutes to find the Beihai Avenue Nanzhu Bus Station bus stop where you can take bus no. 101. Upon getting off at Beihai Middle School, take a taxi to the scenic area within 6-8 minutes at a cost of CNY8.

 To Weizhou Island:
Take shuttle bus to Nanzhu Bus Station. Transfer to bus no. 21 and get off at International Passenger Transport Dock. There passengers can take a ship to the island. The ships are scheduled at 08:30, 11:30 and 15:45 and returns at 10:00, 14:30, and 17:00. It takes around an hour to arrive. The cost is CNY120/person for ordinary cabin, CNY180/person for business cabin and CNY240/person for VIP cabin.
