How to Get from Zhuhai to Macau

Zhuhai borders Macau to the north, thus there is neither flights nor trains between these two places. From Zhuhai downtown area, tourists can take metro lines or public buses to get to Gongbei Port or Hengqin Port first, then just pass the border and they can enter Macau. For the air passengers from Zhuhai Airport, they can take direct Airport Express to get to Macau directly; the duration is around 80 minutes, costing CNY 100. Besides, taking a ferry from Wanzai Wharf to Macau Inner Harbour Ferry Terminal is also an available way; it costs CNY18 per person, spending 18 minutes.

1. Cheapest Way: City Bus

Passengers can take several bus lines from Zhuhai downtown area to get to Zhuhai ports first. The two ports are Gongbei Port and Hengqin Port. After arriving, pass the border and enter Macau directly.

Via Gongbei Port
→ Take bus no.1/2/8/9/10A/11/31/32/34/36/99/101/207/931/B1/K1/K3/K5/K8/K10 to Gongbei Port.
→ Follow the signs to reach Zhuhai Customs.
→ Clear the customs and cross the border to reach Macau.

Via Hengqin Port
→ Take bus no.62/N20/Zhuhai Airport Shuttle Bus Hengqin Port Line and get to Hengqin Port first.
→ Follow the signs to Hengqin Port.
→ Clear the customs and cross the border to arrive at Macau.

How to get from Zhuhai Airport to Macau:

1.Direct Airport Express Bus:
Take it from Jinwan Airport to Macau Studio City or Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel. It takes around 80 minutes on the way with the ticket fare of CNY100 per person. After arriving, transfer to Macau public bus or taxi to the destination.

2.Airport Shuttle Bus (Via Gongbei Port):
Upon landing, take Airport Shuttle Bus Jilin University Line and get off at Zhuhai Railway Station first. The duration is around 50 minutes. Then take walk northeast for around 450 meters (490 yards) and arrive at Gongbei Port. After that, clear the customs and pass through the border to reach Macau.

Can I purchase Bus/Ferry ticket in advance from Zhuhai to Macau with 144 hours visa free Guangdong

Hello, I plan to travel from US-Bangkok-Guangdong-Macau-Hong Kong-Singapore-US next year with 144-hour visa free transit.
We will flight from Bangkok to Guangdong & visit few cities in Guangdong province, the last stop will be Zhuhai, then from Zhuhai to Macau, since it need onward ticket to Macau with confirmed date (within 144 hours) and seat to a third country (region).
Can we take Bus or Ferry from Zhuhai to Macau? Are there any BUS or FERRY company that we can book in advance?

Yes, most road ports and ferry ports are eligible ports to leave Guangdong under the 144. You can book the ferry ticket in advance on turbojet.com.hk. For buses, as I know most of buses send you to the road ports only and don't cross the border, so I'm afraid you cannot take the bus tickets as the proof of leaving.

I m in Zhuhai Hotel, I plan to book a car via trip.com to macau airport tomorrow morning, but I m not sure how to cross border by car rental. Hope to get details info about crossing border

Will you drive the car or have a Chinese driver? I think you just need to show your passport at the road port like Hengqin to exit if you have a driver. If you drive yourself, you need to get a temporary driving qualification at the traffic police office.

The easiest is to take a direct buses from famous spots in Macau like Venetian, MGM and Parisian to Gongbei Port and go through the immigration there to enter Zhuhai.

How can i get from Macau International Airport to Zhuhai Charming Holiday Hotel? I have a group of 5 pax and we are thinking of taking a taxi to Gongbei port into Zhuhai and into our hotel

There are direct buses from the airport to Gongbei Port taking CNY 35 per person, and you will accept the check there and then enter Zhuhai. The hotel is very close to the port.

What are the buses available and can i take a large MPV car instead? What apps can i use to book the taxi? Does didi work in Macau?

The direct buses are usually available from 08:00 - 19:00. You can charter a MPV car there. You cannot use Didi in Macau and MaasPlus is the hailing app there.
