 Location: Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport lies at the junction of Paotai Town and Denggang Town in Jieyang City, centrally located between Jieyang, Shantou and Chaozhou. It is respectively about 22km, 28.5km and 24km away from the city centers of Jieyang, Shantou and Chaozhou. 

 Brief Intro: Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport opened to the public on December 15, 2011. It now covers an area of 3,387,800 square meters (837.1 acres). The terminal building currently covers an area of 54,995 square meters (13.6 acres) allowing an average annual throughput of 4.5 million persons and a peak hour throughput of 2,074 persons. The airport will soon have a 2,800 meters (3,062 yards) long runway and a 2,800 meters (,3062 yards) long taxiway, which can handle planes like the Boeing 767. At present, 22 domestic airlines connect Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport with about 20 cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Kunming, Xi'an, Wuhan and Changsha. Three international airlines serve Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Additionally, two aperiodic international flights serve Naypyitaw and Seoul.

The terminal building covers an area of about 54,995 square meters (13.6 acres). There are 2,396 rest seats throughout the  terminal and 150 seats at each boarding gate. The airport has 39 check-in counters. Counters No.1 to No.16 are reserved for the airport group companies such as Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and some other domestic airlines; counters No.17 to No.28 are for China Southern Airlines; counters No.29 to No. 39 are for international flights. There are 16 passenger self-help check-in machines at the airport. Twelve are owned by the airport group companies and four are exclusively for China Eastern Airlines passengers. 10 inspection channels fulfill the demands of the daily throughput including No. 2, a VIP channel.

 Airport Express Bus: There are express buses running from the airport to Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang. The buses are all luxury buses with 47 seats.  At present, five express bus routes are in operation. The bus ticket office is on the left side of Exit 4 of the Arrival Hall on the first floor of the terminal.

 By Taxi: Taxis are available at Chaoshan Airport. Passengers can take taxis to Shantou, Jieyang and Chaozhou at the special location for each city. Look for  the electronic display.
 Tip: It is best not to bargain the price with the taxi driver. Let the taxi drive charge by the meter. 30% empty back fee is charged for the additional kilometers over 20km.
 

 Duty-free Shops: There are duty-free shops at the International Arrival Hall on the first floor and in the International Waiting Hall on the third floor.
 Restaurants: At present, there are 4 restaurants in the terminal. They are located at the Arrival Hall, the Domestic Departure Hall and the International Departure Hall.
 Washing Rooms: There are 32 washing rooms in the terminal, including 10 washing rooms specially for handicapped with complete facilities on every floor.
 VIP Rooms: There are three VIP rooms in the terminal, including a special VIP room for frequenters of China Southern Airlines, a government VIP room and a business VIP room. The VIP rooms are well equipped with a business room, smoking room, bathroom, massage chair and WiFi service. It also provides special check-in service for passengers.

 Bank: Bank of China has a 24-hour self-service bank on the left hand side of the Domestic Departure Hall on the third floor of the Terminal. It is available for money withdrawal and deposit, foreign currency exchange, phone bill as well as Visa and MasterCard services.
 Medical Service: Clinics in the terminal are equipped for free medical consultation, blood pressure measuring and temporary care of invalids. The First Aid is open 24 hours for medical treatment and ambulance services.
