Guangzhou Ports

Guangzhou is one of the ten most famous port cities in mainland China. Currently, the famous ports for passenger use include Nansha Port and Pazhou Port, and both of them operate high speed ferries to Hong Kong. 

 

Located in the south of Guangzhou, Nansha Port serves high speed passenger ferries to and from Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal, with a voyage time of 90 minutes.

  Notes:
1. The round-trip ticket costs CNY300 per adult.
2. Stop checking in 15 minutes before departure.
 

One piece of luggage that is no more than 4kg (8.8 pounds) with a volume of no more than 0.028 cubic meters can be carried with each full ticket. Passengers with a high speed ferry ticket can check in the luggage within 20kg (44 pounds). The excess baggage will be charged a certain fee. Here is the charge standard.

Take bus no. Nansha 3, Nansha 5, Nansha 1, Nansha 19, Nansha 24 and get off at Nansha Port. Or take Guangzhou metro line 4 to Nansha Port and take Exit G.
 

Located in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, Pazhou Port is the only port that connects Guangzhou city center and Hong Kong, where passengers can go through airline check-in and baggage check-in procedures at the departure hall of the port, then take the ferry directly to the Hong Kong International Airport.

  Notes:
1. Only passengers with an international flight ticket on the same day can buy the ticket.
2. It is advised that passengers choose the ferry of which the departure is 5h20min before the flight departure. 
3. Ferry ticket checking stops 30 minutes before the departure. It is advised to arrive at the port 90 minutes before as the airline check-in service is available here. 
 

Passengers are allowed to take carry-on baggage of no more than 4 kg with a volume of no more than 0.028 cubic meters free of charge. Passengers with a standard ticket can check in 23kg (50.7 pounds) of baggage freely, while passengers with First Class or VIP tickets can check in 35kg of baggage for free. Excess weight is charged at CNY20 every 5kg (11 pounds). 
 
 Volume limitation of checked baggage: length + width + height ≤ 158cm (62inch). Excess volume is charged at CNY20 per 0.1 cubic meter.
