Best Way to Travel between Changzhou and Shanghai

With the distance of nearly 190km (120mi), Changzhou and Shanghai are linked through high speed trains, normal speed trains and long-distance buses. High speed train departs most frequently, with the departure frequency of more than 100 per day, taking 1h and no more than CNY80 for 2nd class seat. Normal speed train needs 2-2.5h and its cheapest ticket is no more than CNY30. In addition, you can travel between these two places by long-distance bus with 3h and CNY50-80. The door to door taxi or hired car cost about CNY700 for a single trip.

How to Travel from Changzhou to Shanghai

1. High Speed Train: 1h, CNY74.5-79.5 for 2nd Class Seat

115-120 bullet trains every day ensure passengers convenient travel from Changzhou to Shanghai within 1h. Most of them depart from Changzhou Railway Station or Changzhou North Railway Station, and only 1-3 trains leave Qishuyan Railway Station. Remember to make sure which one is your destination, Shanghai Railway Station or Hongqiao Railway Staion. Normally, there will be no train after 10:30 p.m.

Every day, about 35 normal speed trains set off from Changzhou Railway Station. In 2-2.5 hours, passengers can arrive at either Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai South Railway Station.

110-120 Shanghai to Changzhou bullet trains are available every day. Most of them set off from Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and only two from Shanghai South Railway Station. In the other side, Changzhou Railway Station and Changzhou North Railway Station are most frequently used.
