Acquired as a leading airline in the world, Finnair has a long history that can be traced back to the year 1923. It was originally named Scandinavian Air Express until 1968, when it took Finnair as its official name.

Finnair focus on transporting passenger between Europe and Asia via Helsinki. Among the five largest airport in Europe, Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport is located about 20 kilometers (19 miles), circa half a hours from Helsinli's center, and only 6 kilometers (about 3.7 miles) from the Vantaa Town of Tikkurila. Approximately 30 airlines operate flights at the airport. In addition to rental cars and taxis, Helsinki railway station and city buses, free airport buses as well as Finnair city buses will take passengers to the airport. Hotels will offer bus transport free of charge.   
 

Aircraft Types:

Finnair has one of the youngest and eco-efficient narrow-body fleets, consisting of Airbus 320, 340, Embraer 170s and 190s. In addition, there are McDonnell Douglas-11, Airbus 319 and 321. At the very beginning of the next decade, the airline will only run three types of airplanes. Wide-body Airbus will serve long-haul destinations, narrow-body Airbus 320 and Embraer 170s and 190s serve nearer destinations. Boeing 757s will undertake the leisure flights.

Special Services:

Finnair provides special services for the convenience of families with children, children traveling alone and passengers with wheelchairs. The content of the services includes baby baskets, children's meals and entertainments, escorting children into the airplanes, free on-flight transport of wheelchairs.

Infant safety seats are allowed on board and activity packs will be distributed for children during the flying. Play rooms and baby care facilities are accessible at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The airline is responsible for the safety of children traveling alone for the duration from departure of the airport to the destination. Customers can ask for wheelchairs when booking flights without excess charge levied. It is suggested that disabled customers and passengers with reduced mobility should inform their need for assistance at least 48 hours prior to departure.

It is learned that Finnair will open the new airroute from Helsinki to Chongqing, china as of May, 2012, and it takes around 8.5hrs. From Stockholm, there are direct flights provided by this airline to Beijing and Shanghai in China.

You could search the info. on the website. After choosing your preferred flight, you can contact the local offices of airlines or some travel agencies to arrange the tickets.
