Wanlong Ski Resort, Beijing

Located in the center of Chongli District of Zhangjiakou, the “Snow Capital of China” and the host of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Wanlong Ski Resort is a 4A scenic spot featuring skiing. Many say it is the second biggest ski resort in China, after Yabuli Ski Resort in Harbin.
 

Based on the unique mountain resources, Wanlong has an area of 58 square kilometers and 32 trials with a total length of 37 km (23 miles), of which 22 are advanced trails, 6 are intermediate trails, 4 are beginner trails and among them 6 trails with wild snow and natural landforms are certified by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation. The ski training school composed of professional athletes makes it a ski paradise for all levels of skiers.

For snowboarding beginners, the resort has set up a teaching area with a length of 50 meters and a width of 30 meters, located at the end of Yulong Trial and. The beginner’s track, Changlong, is 5.5km long and is gentle enough for practicing basic skills. For double-board skiers, Wolong Path, 300 meters long and 50 meters wide with an average slope of 5 degrees, has a wide view and is perfect for basic skating skills.

The following trails are especially suitable for skiers who would like to advance: Youlong, Yulong, Yinlong, Jinlong, Dabentou, Menglong, Xianglong Feilong, Shaunglong, and Fenglong. For experienced skiers, the advanced trails of Dabentou, Menglong, Xianglong Feilong, Shaunglong, and Fenglong with undulating snow offer more challenges. 

The resort has also set up a medical room and experienced rescue team, the tracks are equipped with protective nets, which can cope with most of the accidents. Besides, hotels, restaurants, a bath center, and cable cars enable tourists to live here conveniently. If you are beginners, there is a skiing school providing professional skiing courses.
 

With a coverage of 6,200 square meters, the ski equipment hall offers skiers over 2,000 Salomon and Atomic skis, ski sticks, over 300 snowboards, snowshoes, snow wears, lockers, helmets, goggles, gloves and so on.

Wanlong Ski Resort has two restaurants: Shuanglong and Longjingxuan, they provide buffet breakfast and buffet dinner.

Take a high speed train from Beijing North or Qinghe Railway Station to Taizicheng, then a free shuttle bus there to the resort directly. The bus departs at 09:30, 13:30, 17:10 and 20:30 cooperate with the train arrival time.

From Capital Airport, there are also free shuttle buses depart at 11:00, 15:00 and 18:00 from T3 and 11:25, 15:25 and 18:25 from T2 to the hotels inside the resort.
