► How to Choose a SIM Card Plan for the Cross-nation Tour
You will see a row of counters selling SIM cards near the baggage claim at Kuala Lumpur Airport. Operator Maxis has a SIM card that can be used in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, with a plan of 100G in 30 days, costing RM66 ($15). The staff will show you how to use it so that free international roaming will be available in Malaysia and Thailand.
► Where to Spend Nightlife in Kuala Lumpur
A 10-minute walk from the hotel leads you to Jalan Alor Food Street. The over 1,000-foot-long street buzzes with about 100 stalls selling seafood, BBQ, fried noodles, durian, fruit shakes, etc. Oyster Omelette, Satay, Grilled Stingray, and Fried Clams are all worth trying. However, buying fresh fruits from roadside stalls is not recommended, as they are less cost-effective than in supermarkets.
► How to Hail a Taxi Online in Malaysia
Grab is Southeast Asia's most popular taxi app for safety and convenience. It accepts cash, credit cards, and PayPal payments. After an automatically calculated price according to your starting point and destination, select an ideal car and wait for drivers to take the order. The only drawback is that the price will be much higher than usual during peak hours and rainy days.

Then, drive back downtown to Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka), where the Malaysian Independence Ceremony was held on August 31, 1957. Capture the magnificent and romantic pink-hued Sultan Abdul Samad Building stretching along the street with your lens. It once witnessed the raising of the Malaysian flag and is now one of Kuala Lumpur’s prominent landmarks. Next, we will get to Petaling Street, where people from different countries run shops and restaurants together and bring endless charm here with their cultural characteristics. Hearing multiple languages, such as Chinese, Malay, and English, hovering over the air, you can taste Chinese tofu pudding, Malay coconut rice, Indian curry noodles, and other delicacies as lunch at your own expense.
Continue to the National Mosque of Malaysia this afternoon. Painted white, the mosque is as immaculate as the sky after snow, accompanied by an umbrella-shaped blue roof, a towering minaret, and a crystal clear pool, ethereal and magnificent. Wearing an ankle-length authentic robe provided by the mosque, and standing in the sacred main hall like a spacious, isolated world, you could feel time quietly slipping away from changing light and shadow. Afterward, leave for King’s Palace to visit its majestic architecture from the outside, where you can also gaze over the whole city.
► How to Enjoy Your Nightlife near the Petronas Towers
Getting off Petronas Twin Towers, enjoy the sunset at KLCC Park. You can have dinner at Tea Garden Permata Sapura on Floor C in KLCC, which has a great environment, large portions of delicious food, and a great value of RM20-40 ($5-10) per person. Its award-winning Herbal Chicken with Noodles emanates a heady herbal aroma, with tender chicken and silkily chewy noodles. The Salted Egg Chicken Chop with Rice combines flavorful fried chicken - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - with mellow salted egg sauce, leaving an endless aftertaste. After dinner, enjoy the gorgeous night view of the Petronas Twin Towers and the park’s Symphony Lake Water Show (7:30 – 8:30 pm). A 15-minute taxi ride will take you to the hotel.

This morning, we will first drive two hours to Malacca. Upon arrival, go directly to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Malacca, which has a centuries-old history. Appreciate the profound heritage of ancient Chinese architecture, from vivid mythological figures and animals made of broken chinaware on the roof to the murals and paintings on the walls, from the lustrous nanmu pillars to the gold leaf-clad carvings, all of which demonstrate traditional oriental art.
Then, cross the Malacca River to visit Stadthuys on the Dutch Red Square, a typical Dutch-style building composed of thick red brick walls, heavy hard wooden doors, and broad stone steps. Its neighboring complex’s bright red has also become Malacca’s representative color. Under the blue sky, shoot photos of such an attractive city card as you please. Walk along the path behind Stadthuys leading to St. Paul’s Church atop St. Paul Hill. Surviving many vicissitudes, the ruins have witnessed changes in one of the world’s most essential straits, the Strait of Malacca, for centuries.
Passing by A Famosa (Porta de Santiago), a Portuguese fortress said to be the earliest European building in Asia, we will arrive at Jonker Street. On the colorful arcade-lined street, fully experience the Nyonya culture and various Malay delicacies. If interested, you can find a dressing shop to rent a Nyonya costume and wear it for photos. Don’t miss Hoe Kee Chicken Rice, which opened in 1962 and is much-lauded by many gourmets. Its seemingly ordinary Chicken Rice Ball will conquer your taste buds with its smooth and tender texture. Pair a portion of tangy and spicy Asam Fish, whose sauce is the perfect partner for chicken rice balls. It only costs RM20-40 ($5-10) per person.
Ultimately, the driver guide will transfer you to Kuala Lumpur by a 2-hour drive. Have a good rest tonight, and don’t forget to pack your baggage because we will leave Malaysia tomorrow.

Our well-selected hotel is at Patong Beach, Phuket’s most developed seaside commercial area, with a lively bar street and Patong Night Market for nightlife. After sunbathing on the beach, walk south to the bar street for 15 to 20 minutes. Savoey Seafood Restaurant is a good choice for dinner, as you can try raw marinated shrimp and fried tiger shrimp; you can choose seafood yourself at marked prices. At night, go for a massage or have fun in popular bars, such as Barfunk with aerial acrobatics performances, New York with a resident band playing live music, and Illuzion, said to be the number one bar in Asia. Still, you may need to stay around 11:00 pm for a hotter vibe.

► Immerse in Romantic Thai-style Streets in Old Phuket Town
It takes a 40-minute taxi ride from your hotel to Old Phuket Town, a diverse and charming place influenced by Eastern and Western cultures.
