Parvati, wife of Shiva, the great God of Indian mythology. And the Parvati Valley, enjoy an extraordinary reputation among backpackers due to its invincible beauty, the hot springs, tranquil villages and low consumption. It is located in the Himachal, 540km north of Delhi. There are several ways to get there from Delhi.

► Take a flight from Delhi to Kulu
You need to take a bus from Krishi Bhawan/ Rail Bhawan station and get to IGI Airport and board the plane. And then take a taxi from Kulu airport to Parvati Valley. The flying time takes about 2 hours, and the whole procedure takes about 6 hours including the land transfers on both sides.

► By train and bus 
Take train from New Delhi to Chandigarh. The following trains are available:

Once you arrive at Chandigarh during the early day time, you can take a taxi to Zirakpur Flyover, Zirakpur to catch a bus to Aut Market, the bus ride takes 3-4 hours. ► By bus 
Take bus for 15 hours from ISBT kashmeere Gate to Manali, the buses are available every two hours, they are bus 21, 535, 567, 505, 514, 1532, 519, 586, 530, 583, 545, 574. And then take a taxi for another 3 hours to Parvati Valley.

In Kalga, the recommended accommodation is Forest Backpacker. Especially in winter, the heating system is better than others.

The canyon extends eastward along the Parvati River. Along the way, many famous villages are stacked along the river and mountains, including Malana, Kasol, Chalal, Kalga, Pulga, Tosh, etc. most foreign tourists with more time like walking slowly and lingering along these towns. You can choose to stay at different villages to view the different beauty. The internet is not stable at all, and Airtel is superior to others.

Tosh is the most popular village for tourists because of convenient transportation. Here you can take shared cars with other tourists. All villages are not car from each other, sometime, you are already at another village after crossing a bridge.

It seems that time here has slowed down a lot. You can look at the mountains and meditate in a daze all day, walk in the forest trails, and even have a fairy tale forest composed of pine trees. This trip will take about 2-3 days. Even if you don't go out and walk, it's very good to sit down to view the beautiful scenery with a cup of coffee or hot Masala Tea, or just empty your mind and do nothing.

Tips: 
• The best season is from Mar to June, when the weather is pleasant, you can go on with the various outdoor activities. Winter is good, but it will be very cold. It's best to bring your own warm bag, etc., and it's best to have boots that can walk in the snow.
• ATMs are scarce and mostly cash transactions, so you should bring enough cash.
