Yala Snow Mountain Hiking

Upon your arrival in this beautiful and fertile land, take the shuttle bus to the local hostel. Here, we would like to recommend you the Holly's Hostel (No. 246 Wuhou Memorial Street; Tel: 0086(0) 28-85548131) with the cost about RMB25-80 net per night.  You can take the shuttle bus till the terminal and then take a taxi. It will cost you about RMB20.00. After a good rest, set about preparing for your hiking.

The second day, take the direct coach from Chengdu to Kangding (Please refer to Sichuan  - Chengdu 04 for details ). Upon your arrival, you can have a visit there and stay there for one night.

The third day, get up early to see the famous Horse-Racing Mountain in distance. Visit Anjue Monastery. You can rent a car from Kanging to Xinduqiao(or you can take the ride of Chengdu/ Kangding coach, which will drive till Litang after the passengers get down in Kangding). Get through the pass of Tsedo Moutain(4,298m), pass through the beautiful Xinduqiao, which is famous for photographing. After lunch in Xinduqiao, take a private mini-bus to the well-known Tagong Grassland, it will cost you RMB15.00 net to go there. Upon your arrival, visit Tagong Monastery. You can rent a horse from the local people and begin your hiking. Stay overnight in the camp or you can stay in the Xueyu Hostel with the expense of RMB20.00 net per night, which is just near the Tagong Monastery.

The fourth day, get up early to hike upstream till you arrive at the source and over the mountain beam of 4500 meters above sea level. Hike to the picturesque Yala valley through the virgin forest. Soon you will get to the foot of the mountain. Stay overnight in the camp.
Tips: You'd better manager your time well when you hike in the forest and to arrive in the camp or the places there are human beings before it gets dark to avoid the attack of the wild animals.

The following day, start early to visit the Yala Chaqu Holy Lake. Hike along the Taizhan Valley Have a chance to see the beautiful waterfall from the Snow Mountain, the popple of the water in the lake, inverted reflection of the mountain in the water with the birds singing and flowers giving forth fragrance, formed a earthly paradise. You will get to Danba Road in the afternoon. Then pass through natural mininature garden-Donggu to reach Danba. Stay overnight at the local hostel. You can stay in the Danba Boarding House, which locates in the city center, with the cost around RMB40.00/bed per night (0836-3521195).

The sixth day, visit the mysterious Thousand Blockhouse along the Dadu River bank, then take a visit to the Tibet Stocked village in Jiaju, which has a special style of Jiarong Characteristic. Take the mini-bus or coach towards Rilong, pass through Dawei County to reach the Rilong at the roof of the famous Siguniang Mountain. It is about 115 kms from Danba to Rilong Town and it will take you about three hours. Stay overnight in the Rilong Town. You can take part in a campfile party of roasting the whole lamb.

The following day, go to visit the Changping Valley, where you can view the four peaks, especially the fourth peak after you have breakfast. The admission fee is about RMB70.00 net per person, RMB20.00 net per person for taking the sightseeing car. Hike through the primeval forest to visit the Siguniang Peaks deeply, visit the Lama Temple, Erdaoping along the road. Leave the Siguniang Mountain in the afternoon, cross over the Balang Montain(4000m), and take a mini-bus back to Xiaojin County and it will cost you about RMB 10-15 net, stay overnight in Xiaojin County.

The eighth day, take the coach from Xiaojin to Chengdu with eight or nine hours' drive, and it will cost you about RMB 70.00 net. The coach starts 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30 each morning. Upon your arrival in Chengdu, have a taste of the local famous hotpot. Stay in Chengdu.

The last day, package your luggage and leave according to your international flight if time permits. You hiking ends here.
