Shaanxi Farmers' Caves are cool in summer and warm in winter.

Farmer's caves (Yao Dong) is a type of residence uniquely existing in China. The vast caves are widely scattered on the vast Loess Plateau in the northern part of Shaanxi Province. The caves are usually built in the mountain, and are divided into two types: the stone cave and the earth cave. Hi there want to have guideline where should l stay in XI AN if to be near XI AN JIAOTONG University .I'am looking for economy Hotel or Hostel.

Xi*an Jiaotong univerisity is in east of the city , face to xing qing park , Xi*an is not so big city , you can stay one youth hotel close to drum tower then you take taxi to jiao tong university about 10 rmb once !

hi there are lots hotel near by Xi'an Jiaotong university. For example, "XiXia Binguan" hotel, Chinese name is 西夏宾馆, which also surrounded by several tourists attraction. Or Xi'an Meibao Wenyilu dian hotel(dianli fandian), Chinese name is " 西安美宝文艺路店（电力饭店)", it is cheap and convinent. Those two hotel also not far from Bell Tower but it is much cheaper than live near by there. public transportation are available..
